Easiest Breakfast / Snack Idea ..... my loaded Apple 🍎 Rings and Banana 🍌 Bites
I’ve seen this idea all over Instagram but never got around to trying it with my girls. They love Apple with #peanutbutter
which is such a great snack. Healthy fats from the peanut butter and goodness from the apple
Then I thought I’d take it up a notch so today for breakfast I made these cute little #applerings
and little banana bites and got all all my spreads, nuts and seeds and let them choose their toppings and mixes.
My little one, Viviana, would only entertain the Apple with Hazelnut Choco Butter but my elder daughter, Valentina, went to town with both options. She loaded hers with #chiajam
and dried raspberries and #chiaseeds
. She thoroughly enjoyed every.single.bite
This is such a fun way to let your kids get involved and sprinkle their own seeds and nuts 🥜 and choose their own combinations. They LOVE LOVE LOVE being given a choice and feeling like they created their own meal so give this a try. Some options to lay out are:
Pineapple 🍍 .
With toppings like:
Raw Honey 🍯
Seeds (hemp, chia, sunflower 🌻)
This is also an amazing #postworkoutsnack
or after school snack. All the heart healthy fats which are essential for kids (and adults) and the little protein boost from the nuts and seeds make this a really fun, great little recipe to try. Not sure you can call this cooking but I wanted to share it nonetheless.
