Apparently I have a lot of lessons to learn. 😐 Those of you who are reading this and struggling in some way, I feel you. I hear you. I see you. ➖ I saw this on the wall in my chiropractors office today, and I just stood there taking it in. ➖ I have heard something similar before, and after three sleepless nights, I’m now wondering what lesson is in this season. ➖ Or lessons. Plural. Because Lord knows I’m sure there is more than one. ➖ Like patience. That’s one lesson I am working on. I know I get impatient. Especially when sleep deprived. ➖ What about you? What lessons are you needing to learn in this season of your life?
Gratitude. Seems like I’ve been hearing a lot about “practicing gratitude” lately, but this got me thinking of HOW we as a family can do this.
Every evening, Matt and I tend to greet each other and then ask, “How was your day?” About a year ago, Isaac picked up on this and started asking us, “How was your day? How was baby Gwen’s day?”
But the problem is, we rarely actually hear about each other’s days!! The usual response tends to be “Good.”
What if Matt and I were intentional with shifting our language to instead ask each other, “What was good about today?” or “What happened today that was good?” 🧐 I’m thinking it would encourage more thoughtful responses, AND help us practice gratitude on a daily basis.
So I’m sharing this because a) it will help me to hold myself accountable so this doesn’t become just another random idea that goes nowhere, and b) to ask you what ways you have found to practice gratitude. I’d love to hear your ideas!

A few things stood out not that I was super surprised. I am really excited to see what may happen if I apply a few simple changes. I’ll let you know, totally! And if I sound cryptic or lacking my regular details, that’s because I am being those things.👊🏻🤫🤗
🗣I attended my second ADHD coaching session yesterday and it’s pretty clear I need to be making some key changes to how I operate my day ie. having a stable and very routined structure to my day. It needs to happen and with more structure comes more productivity, or so the thinking is behind that. I am so open to trying new strategies on! 💯✍🏻
🗣That’s a real quick update! I don’t think I will be posting much today as I want to spend some good quality time with meditation and reflection. So I just thought I would hope on quickly!! HI SQUIRRELS❤️!🐿
