Enjoying good food in great company 💕 I love our regular girls dinners for so many reasons... 1) Enjoying dinner with friends accomplishes the goal of face-face interaction. In our world of social media updates and text messaging, planning regular dinner dates is even more important 2) My friends are great influences and love eating and preparing healthy food. On the menu this night was sweet potato bites, homemade chili, quinoa balls and a local cheese plate 3) smiles and laughs are just as an important part of good health as good food 💕 we all need to make more time for it in our busy worlds. #sharingfood #myfriendsarethebest

I hate/love this video. It makes me so uncomfortable but I also can't stop watching it. Enjoy the dose of realty. That ending, though. 😂

Dreaming of colder weather in this heatwave ... also sweating ❄️☃️ #tbt
📍Byron Bay, Australia
Lugar recomendado 🌟

Driving on the 9 and as I turn a curve this is what I see. “Oh, my, oh my. I’’m pulling off, take my picture.” How ridiculous is this?! I have seen the best rainbows, ever! From the beginning/end of one side- no pot of gold, just a golden opportunity. The picture of course does not do it justice. 😵🌈🌈😮 #potofgold #tastetherainbow #whathaveidonetodeservethis #inaww
little flashback to where it all began 🏙 8 million people and all I see is you ♥️
When you both get home from work knowing that you’ve dedicated today as a rest day but you both give each other that look of ‘what trail shall we hit up?!’ What do you do? Take the cruisers to the local patio, drink bulldogs, eat cheap wings & try to talk about anything which isn’t mountain running related 🤫 It worked... for tonight! 😏 #needtolearntolovethebalance #restdayssuck
As you can tell, Colorado sucks. Not having any fun.
Shoes off, feet in the water. Right where I want to be 👌🏻⛰🌲
Wowzer, I have known for a while that the day was going to come when I would pass Roxi onto a new owner, and that day has arrived. Tomorrow I will be handing over my beloved home on wheels to her new owners. I feel very excited and thankful that I was able to find a couple that is going to continue the adventures with Roxi, taking her on skiing, biking, and kiting trips. It is a very bittersweet day for me, but I am excited for a new chapter to begin and there is no doubt in my mind that van 3.0 (likely on a smaller scale) will be a part of my life in the future. Cheers to one year with my girl Roxi!
The last little push before setting eyes on one of the most pretty lakes I have seen. Tammy & I set off from Agnew Meadows today with a goal of running to Thousand Island Lake and back but once we got there we decided we wanted to see more. So, we connected past Ruby Lake to Garnet and back making the days total at 19 miles with 3.5k of elevation gain and a whole lotta fun! What a day! Now only if I could feel my legs.....
The Six Best Doctors:
☀️Sunshine 🌊Water 💤Rest
🌲Air 👟Exercise 🥑Diet
Trying to stay close to what makes me feel alive... and surrounding myself with these 6 things seems to do it. I don’t take them at their literal definition all the time, either. Sometimes ‘sunshine’ can be a person whose smile and positive light brightens my day. Other times ‘air’ is meditating (trying to) in a corner of my house. And ‘water’ can be splashing my face when I need to recharge, jumping in the lake when it’s too cold or simply remembering to drink more of it. Remember these 6 doctors on the daily, they might just help when you find yourself in a funk. 📷: @wanderwithjoey

Cirque Peak is one of my personal favourites and these dudes made it a super rad day.
It was a bluebird sky and barely any wind at summit as we enjoyed our lunch, alongside a marmot who was happily licking salt off a rock 2 feet from us. While the highlight for many is the summit, mine is the descent. We all know now that I LOVE scree - any time I find good scree, you bet your ass im on that stuff running down at full tilt. Cirque has one of the best faces to do that and its literally the best feeling frolicking down a mountain.
We wrapped our day up with a good snowball fight and a river dip before gorging ourselves on burgers.
Twas awesome ✌😊.
As much as I love 100 degree bluebird days, I can't wait for the 50 degree ones ❄️

Is the hat covering nasty camping hair, or am I just bald underneath it? No one will know.
Oh boy, if you could hang out in my mind for an evening 🤭
Mildly obsessed with New Zealand and you should probably read my blog post and then book your flight 🤷🏻♀️✈️
This weekend I was able to do my first multi pitch climb (11 pitches), complete my hardest lead, and climb my first 5.11 outside. Mazama, you have stolen my heart (and really amped up my climbing game)
Such a beauty flight featuring Dion’s lovely voice. 🤟🏽
Something super interesting happened to me yesterday 😋
If you watched my live story on Instagram, you might have an idea of what happened but here is the full story. •
My friend Travers & I headed up to Victor Lake Wall to do a 12 pitch 10C climb. I struggled hard to get up pitch 6 but I, honestly, told myself I was making excuses, being a baby because lead climbing still scares me a bit and me thinking we were on the wrong climb was an excuse to my struggle. 🙃
After a BIG internal battle, fighting off tears and struggling hard with the last big move, I FINALLY made it to the top. Travers started and after a few tries, called up to me that he thinks he can’t climb the pitch & that we should turn around because we still have 6 pitches to go, 2 of those being 10C. He climbing himself up the rope and we rappelled down. 🧗🏻♀️ •
On the way down though, my guts were telling me we were on the wrong climb. Once we got down to the top of the 4th pitch, I pulled out the topo, looked a little closer, just to realize after a bit of back & forth, that were in fact on the wrong climb. •
Turns out we were actually in an 11b and the belay station we had originally wanted was down and past the one we used. 🤷♀️
Honestly, I can’t say that I’m even slightly upset. I am actually super pumped!! If only I could explain the internal battle I had gone through to get myself up that pitch & all the other internal battles I’ve been going through with climbing! •
I love climbing so much. 💕
Thanks for the awesome afternoon of pushing ourselves Travers! ☺️
Alpine pit stop || Super hot 41km hike/run day with my boys || Ever since last summer I trail ran out this way with just Koda and I, I wanted to do this big loop as I stood beneath the mountains and told myself it’s gonna happen summer 2018. Stoked to have had Phil come along with me so we could fight the bugs and heat together and soak in some amazing views ||
Playing in the mountains inevitably means pushing yourself physically and mentally. The growth and self awareness that comes with that kind of effort is part of what makes these places so special. Pushing yourself has it’s limits though and this weekend I decided a summit wasn’t worth it for me. Could I have kept slogging up the mountain with a raw throat and pounding headache? Sure. But I could feel how weak my body was from a crazy week plus an oncoming cold, and I have a big trip in two days so I decided it wasn’t worth it. I felt lame and guilty and pathetic at first, but honestly I’m still sick and I know I’d feel worse if I had pushed through. I’ll be hiking 30+km on Thursday so getting healthy for that was my priority. The mountains will always be there, I can always always return. It’s not easy when you have a fun goal like a summit right in front of you, but listen to your body. It’s always telling you something, we just need to listen more often. ✨
