animal protein + animal fat + animal hormones
= WEIGHT GAIN FOOD
But a plant-based version wouldn't be that much better for personal health (would be for animals though). Low energy foods for a low energy life.
These foods clog and stiffen arteries, even in the brain where it eventually leads to dementia.
Fat blocks insulin receptors and prevents the assimilation of blood sugar into the cells to be used for glucose derived ATP. This causes blood sugar crashes which hurts our fitness and doesn't exactly help any existing anxiety, depression or mood disorders.
Low-carb diets teach us to avoid high-energy, sugary foods and eat everything that prevents us from using that sugar effectively - so when low-carbers DO have sugar they have a horrible experience and run back to the greasy food that caused that horrible experience in the first place.
Low-carb diets eventually blunt emotions and teach us to run away from our problems and seek solace in the side-effects of psuedo-starvation.
After 2 years of HCLF, 90/5/5 vegan living:

▪️ HDL: 38 mg/dL
▪️ Triglycerides: 76 mg/dL
▪️ Glucose (fasting): 86 mg/dL
