For a classic family, favourite try these grilled beef sausages served with homemade baked beans and golden hash browns.
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 red onion, chopped
1 carrot, peeled, chopped
1 celery stick, chopped
2 dried bay leaves
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
700g btl tomato pasta sauce
2 tablespoons golden syrup
3 x 400g cans butter beans, rinsed, drained
1.7kg Coles Australian Thin Barbecue Beef Sausages
8 hash browns
8 roma tomatoes, halved
300g pkt Coles Australian Baby Spinach Leaves
8 slices bread, toasted, to serve
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook onion, carrot, celery and bay leaves for 5 mins or until softened. Add paprika and cook for 1 min or until fragrant. Add pasta sauce and golden syrup and bring to a simmer. Stir in beans and simmer, uncovered, for 10 mins or until sauce thickens slightly.
Meanwhile, cook sausages in a large lightly oiled frying pan over medium heat, in batches, for 8 mins or until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat.
Cook hash browns following packet directions. Cook tomatoes in the frying pan for 2 mins each side or until softened and heated through. Season.
Place spinach in a large saucepan. Cook, stirring, for 2 mins or until just wilted. Season.
Divide bread among serving plates. Top with spinach and bean mixture. Serve with sausages, hash browns and tomato.
