It’s my first day back to work after 4 days off! 😳If you need me I’ll just be over here dreaming of fresh squeezed mimosas and 30A!🌞🥂
Y’all know I love #recordstores
was the first one I ever went to in Nashville. They’ve moved to E Nashville on Trinity Lane. (MTA Open at current location through COB Saturday.) The og @thebasementnash
is still there, and @wxnafm
is still on the top floor. Buy music. Streams are convenient, but if you like it, buy it. Who remembers the first musician on our podcast to credit Mike Grimes for helping him survive in Nashville? Many have thanked him over the years for his support, large and small.
I’m not sure what the first record store I ever went to was. Back in the day records were sold at record stores (JR’s Music Shop and Musicland were our “mall stores”) as well as what they called “department stores” like modern day Targets, WM, etc. I was also very lucky to have a local store in my hometown for a few years, how cool was that? It definitely kickstarted something, that’s for sure. So I guess this whole post exists to say I am thankful these places of refuge still exist. Here’s me zoning out at Rasputin’s in Pleasant Hill, CA. #heavymetal #recordstores #music #vinyl #digital #analog #cassette #reeltoreel #8tracks #7

Um, can I just hang out here all day?
It‘s not about a salary, it’s all about reality.

I am so thankful to them for their hard work and seemingly unending support! They pick up the PHONE!! Who does that? MUAH!!! Special Thanks for your support goes to:
