A pair of Red-billed Hornbills to go into the bar mosaic that I'm currently working on for a private game lodge.
I just can't decide whether the hornbill should be eating a tick or ladybird... the ladybird is prettier but I love these sweet little beetles and I don't like the idea of one getting eaten... while I must admit that I have much less of a warm feeling towards a tick!
What do you think?

They are insectivores 🦗🐞 and carnivorous 🦎🦇 but can also feed from fruits like berries. Hornbills use their huge bills to dig and maneuver objects on the ground to access their prey. The large bill also helps to maintain the prey away from vulnerable areas like their eyes and face.
