Super tuesday! So it turned out that my sutures were the type that disolve after a while and removal isn’t really necessary. But the surgeon removed them anyway to take away any risk of infection. Just removing them made the pain way less. ————-
So that concludes the wrist. No more check-ups, I could continue with physical therapy, but I want to go on vacation first. This is it. ——-
So that leaves my femoral shaft fracture. I have a check-up with x-ray planned for december. Still no running, no jumping etc. to be continued...

Ok let's be honest✋not many of us will have the run technique of USA 🇺🇸3000m runner @emmacoburn
, but there's a few key 🔑 take-always that can be applied to everyday runners or athletes: 🏃
👉Forward Lean ↗️ - notice the line drawn through the hip to the shoulders. Is it straight up and down? NO!❌ You want a nice natural lean forward at the ankles👟. This allows gravity 🌎to help carry you forward. Also have a relaxed 😎 neutral spine.
👉Limit Bouncing⏫ - if your vertical bounce looks excessive, it means you're wasting energy ⚡️. You want energy converted ➡️ forward (see the left arrow propelling forward and up ↗️). Excess bounce will mean muscles have to 🔨work harder to control landing EVERY STEP, this is a big factor in shin splints.
👉Upper Body - have a compact, but relaxed arm swing. Your upper body shouldn't cause your pelvis to sway-side to side. Excess swing is usually due to poor 👎 core control (think of a tight-rope Walker with their arms ️ out to balance)
👉Limit Overstriding - When your lead leg lands, the knee should have a bit of bend. Your shin bone should look almost vertical ↕️under your body. This ⏬'s shin splints.
👉Aim for Mid-Foot Strike 👟💥 - *This is very controversial * Priority should be to land where is feels comfortable️, but landing at the center of your foot will decrease load rates through the lower leg.
I can't stress enough EVERYONE 👨👩👧👧 is different. However these are the ➕ positive signs to check during assessment. Running should be effortless when done!

Röntgen av ryggraden och höften visade ingenting, dvs att hon är typ frisk, nu är det bara att träna upp bakbenen. 🇩🇪Heute waren wir beim Tierarzt, dieser hat Jasmin untersucht, könnte aber nichts feststellen. Die Wirbelsäule und Hüfte wurden auch geröntgt und alles war fehlerfrei. Jasmin ist jetzt so zu sagen gesund, ich muss jetzt nur noch ihre Hinterbeine trainieren.
