This sweet baby girl of mine, she's incredibly compassionate and seems to sense when I need extra love. This morning in the thick of getting ready while making their lunches, emptying the dishwasher, filling water bottles, making breakfast, she looks at me and says, "Mama, you always amazed me at how good of a job you do at being a mom!" She has no idea what that meant to me, my darling baby girl, oh how I cherish you! I hope she stays sweet and kind forever! The world needs more people like Cami! #cambriakatrina#thankful#kindwords#rememberalways#mama
Husband couldn’t do the workout on 9/11 due to work schedules. So we did it today. (In the hottest weekend of the summer in bay county.😒) We have done this 9/11 team workout at gyms all over the country. Thanks to @getrxd and @xebexfitness this is the first year we are able to do it in our home. #neverforget#notjuston911#rememberalways
Today marks the day my best friend was born, and I continue to celebrate it since her passing in 2011. I reminisce this moment, a time in 2007 after I chopped off her usually long locks. She’s always wanted to experiment with a bob but never had the guts to cut her hair as short. But this was the perfect opportunity to do it just before her round of chemo after her second diagnosis of cancer, bravely achieved because she’d lose her hair anyways. She fought the battle but succumbed in 2011 at the age of 48. I always want to remember how ethereal and beautiful she was here. She made me realize how short life really is. Don’t hold back and don’t hold off. Give love in this short period of time. That way, you will have no regrets.
Hooah! I never realized the damage it brought us, but I remember 9/12 more than anything. The sales of American Flags were sold out, it might have hit us all hard, but it brought us all together. There was no conflict between us when someone attacks your home. I knew from that moment, I wanted to be more than a bystander in this, I wanted to stand tall and protect what I loved. And I took that step! Now I stand next to my brothers and sisters, and I will defend what is ours! We're not kids anymore, and we'll never be the same again! #army#armystrong#hooah#rememberalways
One of the most moving places I've ever been to.
17 years ago the sun rose over NYC and just after 9am terror struck. Over the next days the world became witness to one of humanity's worst disasters, but they also witnessed the best that humanity can offer. Thousands were lost but thousands were saved. First responders both those rostered and not flooded into the area, went in at great risk to their own lives and didn't question why. They didn't see themselves as heroes rather they would say it was their job. We remember the nearly 3000 people who died in this senseless attack including the 343 fire fighters & 71 Law Enforcement Officers.
No day shall erase you from the memory of time.
“It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.” Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy #september11#neverforget#rememberalways
Check out the complete 9-entry blog written by Liz Hayden about her encounter of the Holy Cross missions in Peru. Liz and her family have always been close with Holy Cross and the District of Peru honored her late husband, James, who died in the September 11 attacks 17 years ago, by dedicating the classrooms under the new Fr. David E. Farrell, C.S.C., Pavilion in his honor.
Every year for the last 4 years on #September11th I have joined with other yogis in #RecliningHero pose. We take a moment to mindfully remember all we lost on that dreadful day and all the families that continue to grieve. We give thanks to the #RealHeroes who ran to the aid of so many others! #RememberAlways
5 years ago I had the opportunity to visit ground zero and the beautiful memorial built in honor of the almost 3000 lives taken tragically 💔
Today, say a prayer for all those who lost their loved ones and are still suffering from what happened that day.
Always remembered ♥️
On this night...17 years ago, 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning tomorrow. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives. None of them saw past 10:00 am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.💔 #neverforget#september112001#rememberalways#unity 🇺🇸
