PSYKHE (Psyche, also from Strong's G5590) was the idol of the "soul" and the wife of Eros (Roman Cupid) idol of love. She was once a mortal princess whose extraordinary beauty earned the ire of Aphrodite (Roman Venus) when men began turning their worship away from the idol towards the girl. Psyche, (Greek: “Soul”) in classical mythology, princess of outstanding beauty who aroused Venus’ jealousy and Cupid’s love. The fullest version of the tale is that told by the 2nd-century-CE Latin author Apuleius in his Metamorphoses, Books IV–VI (The Golden Ass). According to Apuleius, the jealous Venus commanded her son Cupid (the idol of love) to inspire Psyche with love for the most despicable of men. Instead, Cupid placed Psyche in a remote palace where he could visit her secretly and, by his warning, only in total darkness. One night Psyche lit a lamp and found that the figure at her side was the idol of love himself. When a drop of oil from the lamp awakened him, he reproached Psyche and fled. Wandering the earth in search of him, Psyche fell into the hands of Venus, who imposed upon her difficult tasks. Finally, touched by Psyche’s repentance, Cupid rescued her, and, at his instigation, Jupiter made her immortal and gave her in marriage to Cupid.
The sources of the tale are a number of folk motifs; the handling by Apuleius, however, conveys an allegory of the progress of the "Soul" guided by Love, which adhered to Psyche in Renaissance literature and art. In Greek folklore the "soul" was pictured as a butterfly, which is another meaning of the word psychē.

Jeremiah 17:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
Psalm 51:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
The Bible says that three things are necessary. First, you must be willing to turn from your sins. You must be willing to renounce sin. Second, you must commit and surrender your life to Christ. By that, I mean you give in to Christ as your only Savior. You’re not saved by joining a church. You’re not saved by living a good moral life. You’re saved only because of the grace of God in Christ. And you must commit yourself to Christ as your only Savior. Are you willing to do that?
Then the third thing: You must be willing to follow Him, serve Him, confess Him and acknowledge Him. You must be willing to go back to the factory and the home, and stand up for Christ.
Are you willing to do that? Let Him change your life and forgive your sins.

This entire week was full of confessing. It felt as if every word I said to God was an apology of how I had been avoiding reading my Bible, how I had been trying to find excuses not to go to church, how I hadn't been praying as I should, etc. etc. etc. -
But that was getting me NOWHERE because I would change nothing. The routine that I had gotten myself into would remain the same day after day.
Confession is POINTLESS if it is not followed up by «repentance.»
Have you sinned before? You of course answered "yes." Well, congratulations. You just confessed that you are imperfect and make mistakes and sin. But that is an already established fact! Romans 3:23 says, "For «all have sinned» and fall short of the glory of God."
Confessing our sins is a very important step in our walk with Christ, but it is only the «FIRST» step. In confessing, we recognize that we are of a sinful nature and are in need of saving that we cannot do alone. But «repenting» means TURNING AWAY from our past ways and making an effort to live «differently.»
If you don't see a difference in your life, then no different has been made in your heart. For as 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us, "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are «passed away,» and behold, all things are become NEW."
I recommend listening to "Walking Away" and "Follow Through" by Unspoken to tie in with this!

Before we proceed to this “luck” as a word, we would like to emphasis the fact that the idea of “luck” in itself is totally un-Scriptural, just like “fortune”. This is the reprimand of Isa. 65:11, namely, that “good luck” and “fortune” are being relied on, instead of us relying on YHUH (YAHUAH) . We should be entirely dependent on His favorings, which we can only receive from him if we live a life dedicated to Him and in obedience to His Word — His Son YAHUSHA. The word “Luck”, derived from a name for the Sun-idol, is not found as such in the older English translations of the Scriptures, but the words “lucky” and “un-lucky” appear seven times in the Good New "Bible" (another pagan word). However, it is most frequently used in our everyday language. In the German, Netherlands and Afrikaans versions the word is used indeed as gluck or geluk, the latter, and probably the former too, being a word derived from the original form, luk. This fact can be verified in Woordenboek der Nederlandsche Taal, vol. VIII, part II, pp. 3304 – 3306. We read here that luk was originally a vox media, a spiritistic medium. Also, that luk was also written luck, luc, lucke, lok, lock (pp. 3304 and 3306). On p. 3305 it states that Luk was also the name of a “personified idol of Luck.” In The Oxford English Dictionary, vol. VII, p. 486, we read that the ultimate etymology of “Luck” or middle High Dutch gelucke, or Middle High German gelucke, is “obscure”. Walshe, a Concise German Etymological Dictionary, under “Gluck”, also states that the origin of this word is obscure. So, once again, “the mighty one of this world” (2 Cor. 4:4), Satan, has blinded the eyes, has deceived the whole world (Rev. 12:9). (CONTINUED BELOW ⬇️⬇️⬇️).
