Last year @arianneteeple
and I went to Belize to document Kori and Alicia Williams' work as missionaries in virtual reality.
A tall gregarious personality with a booming James Earl Jones voice, Kori is a contractor who runs an organization called Hearts of Christ Children's ministry.
In partnership with @bayareacc
, Hearts of Christ does things like helping one man, paralyzed from the waist down by a botched robbery attempt, by providing him with an electric wheelchair.
Another young lady was born with a hole in her heart, Hearts of Christ contributes financially to her family so she can get her weekly blood transfusions. Each visit comes with a bag of rice and other staples for the four generations who live in the same hut.
On the far reaches of the capital, hidden in dense brush is a settlement of a Guatamalan family. Ten children live in a rickety plywood shelter surrounded by the dense Central American jungle. Hearts of Christ brought food and prayer to the frazzled mother, spreading the most critical of resources...hope.
The next story will focus on how Hearts of Christ is impacting education in their community and how you can help.
