It really was a dark and stormy night and you could hear the anger in the rain. Bryan, stopped at a traffic light, rolled down his window for just a moment. In that short second of time, he heard what sounded like a faint mewing.
Bryan jumped out of his truck and spotted a small, black, drenched creature crying in the middle of the road. Another good samaritan jumped out of her car and helped flag down a Sherriff’s deputy. While traffic came to a standstill Bryan sprinted and scooped up this soggy bit of fluff, put him in his truck and wrapped him in a towel.
The kitten, now known as Fonz, was safe. One life down-----eight to go.
Bryan brought Fonz home. He contacted Ayla’s Acres and offered to foster Fonz until a permanent home could be found. After asking Ayla’s Acres for advice, Fonz received a flea-killer bath of Dawn and warm water, baby food and water.
The newly fostered and flea-free Fonz made himself right at home! This plucky five-week old wanted to play with Bryan’s three chocolate labs, any other dog visitor, and their toys. Fearless Fonz was thriving.
At nine weeks old, Fonz decided to use up a second life by seriously injuring his genitals. His first visit was to Southeast Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Timberlake tried treating him with antibiotics, but it wasn’t enough. This injury was severe and Fonz was taken to First Coast Veterinary Specialists. Dr. McNicholas performed a resection on this little kitty (essentially making “him” a “her”) so he could perform all bodily functions. Ayla’s Acres No Kill Animal Rescue paid for this surgery.
Fonz has had a few setbacks since the surgery, but is progressing. The last five weeks have been challenging for this active little guy as he has been bound by a cone. He is still purring away and sleeping with dogs!
Fonz has an enormous vet bill. Over the last month, Ayla’s Acres has spent $3,500 making sure he gets well. We’ve started a fundraising campaign to pay for this sweet kitten’s veterinary expenses.

Pixie & Patch - these 9 year old siblings could not be friendlier and cuter but are sadly being overlooked due to their age. Anyone would be lucky to adopt this pair!
Pixie & Patch are very bonded and can often be seen washing each other and curling up to sleep together. Both also love human company and are true lap cats.
This pair would love a home where they can have access to a safe garden. They won't wander far but love pottering about and enjoying the sun and fresh air. They have lived with children before and are very patient and docile cats.
Please don't let their age put you off! To read about adopting from us and to arrange to visit these adorable cats, please visit our website www.catcuddles.org.uk/adopt-cats/
They are fostered in East/Central London area - we home cats throughout London and the surrounding areas.

Regrann from @ padpawsrescue - * ENRIQUE (RICKY) * A few days ago we received a call from a worried passerby about a cat laying motionless on the sidewalk with severe injuries. When we arrived, it was apparent he needed medical care ASAP, and would most likely not make it another day outside. We’re not sure what happened, but Ricky has abcesses on the side and underneath of his frail emaciated body (both under the skin and opened). Thanks to the wonderful Dr. Beard, and vet tech Enrique at Jersey City Animal Hospital, this sweet boy is under antibiotic therapy and care. Once strong enough, he’ll be neutered and then placed in a foster home to heal. Enrique is sweet, calm, negative on tests, gets along with other cats, and is approximately 6 years old.
We need your help. This will be an expensive venture for our non-profit, and any donation will go towards Enrique’s medical care.
All donations are tax deductible and can be made at www.padpawsrescue.org/donate. Thank you!
A special thanks also to Andy Hertz for quickly bringing by a trap and driving us to a safe spot, and Omar at Fussy Friends for providing a carrier!#pleaseshare #pleasedonate #rescueismyfavoritebreed
