I've always had a deep desire to take myself to Auschwitz... to walk the grounds in silence, to pay my respects... to stand on the soil.. a statement that we have not forgotten. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get to Poland in the short time here in Munich. However, I did visit Dachau today.
In the time spent wondering the ground I was continually drawn to a stream that ran along the side of the camp wall, just on the outside. And, no matter how hard I have searched all afternoon and evening, I can't find the right words but the stream just seemed to be completely appropriate. The nearly silent, peaceful sound of the somehow soothing water... ever running, ever flowing, through this place on the globe where it seems a dark blotch has stained, running free... eternally and swiftly transporting fallen leaves through, out, and far away.
This was the only image/picture/video I took throughout the entire camp. This beautiful little stream is far beyond worthy to be shared.
