Rebate cut into passenger side panel where rear wheel is and that side is finished and ready to paint.
Sorry more wood. 😴 I’m happy with driver side now - just need to cut an inner recess for wheel / tyre clearance.
Decided to curve the inner edge too. Sorry if I’m boring any one! 😚
Things are going too well at the moment. I still reserve the right to mess up at some point. It’s almost a shame to lose those ply layers covered in paint.
Round over edge test on a scrap piece of wood. Now need to take the plunge. Router pun accidental.
Time for a lunch break and catch up with the news 👀
Passenger side test fit. I can still fill with petrol and top up oil. Oil dip stick is just in front of rear wheel and accessible in arch gap.
Petrol flap access hole cut
Final test fit on driver side

A nice bit of part number cross referencing and a little bit more civic is on its way to the Acty via eBay. Only £330 cheaper than the one listed specifically for the Acty. 👌🏻💰
Last night was supposed to be a fun tinkering night rather than spending 3 hours trying to diagnose starter / cabling issues. 🤷🏻♂️ any way here’s a photo with steels on before all the frustrating side of modifying took over.
