Lateral raises are the best exercise to isolate medial delts. If done the right way, you will see great progress. I did this wrong myself for years. I wasn’t making much progress until I corrected my execution.

One done with dumbbells and one with cable. The main difference is in their strength curves. The tension with dumbbell will be at the top of the movement. With cables, because of the mechanisms, there will be tension for the full range of motion. I recommend doing both variables to isolate each part of the strength curves for maximal results.

Physically, I have been battling with tightness in my entire body - all muscular and connective tissue.
It affects my range of motion, joint mobility, and flexibility. I also feel that my muscular fascia is tight so that it doesn’t let the muscle engorge with blood when I’m lifting.
I started trying out this new thing, the keto diet. I’ve been a vegetarian for 22 years now, so all my meals were carb heavy.
It was tough at first but I saw great results almost instantly.
I went from 180lbs to 160lbs. I used to do more cardio, but now I’m doing high set, high reps at 75% of the weigh that I used to use with shorter rest intervals.
I have developed a religious session of stretching and foam rolling before bed. It has definitely helped a lot and I really notice a huge difference when I get out of bed in the morning. I’m not stiff and sore with all my joints snapping and popping.
This time of the year is difficult for me on the days that I work. The gym is packed with people and their hollow promises of “this is the year I get in shape”
So I’m struggling to find the motivation and momentum right now. ... but I’m happy with my progress and how I look.
I just turned 47 and I look better than I did at 27.
