We’d love to give a huge shoutout to this fella!!! Nearly a year ago @applep1e
had a climbing accident and totally f’d his ankle and lower leg. He’s nearly had it amputated a couple of times and has had multiple surgeries since. Despite this he always seems to have a smile on his face and always is up for an adventure. Even when it’s against doctors orders.
If you’re unfamiliar white Gus’s story his @instagram
profile is definitely worth a check out. He’s due for another round of surgery soon so from all of us at @mountain_equipment_aus
we wish you all the best Gus!!!! .
Managed to squeeze in five days of climbing, including a tasty weekend in Nowra, for what might be my last interaction with stone for 8-12 months. Thanks to @arthobayly @ginolagazio @tombjorksten @maki_kawasaki @kmunnii @elliotkals @suitedescapades @armandlespoir
for making it a Stella crutch experience 🙌
Finding routes I could get by on with one leg (or it’s minimal use) was interesting, generally meant it featured a decent serving of the steep variety, and had me working hard for it ;) It felt good to make the most of it with a crew that wouldn’t stop until last light.
The marrow was sucked, the honey collected, and the human body well and truly cooked. #stickaforkinme
Surgery round 5 coming soon 🔧💉💊=🧗🏻♂️
