My heart 😍. I love this video. My youngest can sit for 20 min+ having her hair brushed by her daddy. She loves it and begs for more when he stops.
This came as a nice sweet moment after finding out our girls had cut hair again 😤😭🤯. So my oldest had to have her hair cut because she cut the middle Childs hair. Sadly hers gets cut the most and she has so little of it. Makes me want to cry.
I think we need more time outside that is my goal for tomorrow as they keep getting in trouble in the afternoons. I think from boredom.
On another note I got my first organic review this month and just noticed it today. So sweet to know I'm giving people hope and making a difference in peoples lives through sharing my story.
I also dug into my romance novel and committed to more. Here I come.
So in preperation for the cover and official blurb reveal this Saturday, let's talk about our people, shall we?
These are my character inspirations for Cut and Maria, gorgeous right?
Okay, onto the personalites.
Cut is gruff, he's brooding, but more prominently, scarred. Inside and out. Despite his talent for fighting and good looks, he doesn't believe he's enough for anyone. He's damaged, but so incredibly strong. I call him my gruff teddy bear, because he's so hard, but one of my kindest, sweetest, most protective characters.
Maria is, first off, obviously gorgeous. She's sexy, Latin, outspoken and used to getting her way. But there's more to her than all that. Maria is incredibly loyal. She's tough and has walls made of steel, but if she lets you in them, you'll know, and she'll be hard pressed to let you out of them.
I think you are going to love these guys. I can't wait for you to meet them. Are you guys getting excited?!!
Yes, that's right. It's the new book! Isn't it pretty? *pets book* I'm excited to share this, my new steampunk romance novel with you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. (Pay no attention to the grumbly posts from the past regarding this sucker. ;)) After a whole bunch of glitches it will go live tomorrow. What's it about, you ask?
Vesta's Clockwork Companions is a steampunk romance set in a slightly-alternative Britain of the late 1880s and its synopsis (which you may've already seen, say if you are subscribed to my newsletter--hint hint) is as follows:
When Vesta Bartlett, a wealthy alchemist and inventor, arrives in England to finalize an arranged marriage and help overhaul a family friend's outdated ironworks, she never expects to find the family so secretive, nor to develop feelings for her fiancé’s younger brother, Henry.
But the growing attraction between Vesta and Henry is just the beginning of their troubles. Things really heat up when they're drawn into a secret project for Queen Victoria's military, one that requires Vesta's knowledge of clockwork and Henry’s iron.
An epidemic has wiped out all the dogs in Britain, and beyond. If the military fail in their effort to restore the species, a clockwork creation may be all that stands in the way of a world without canine companionship.
Are Vesta and Henry up to the challenge?
There's a live link to the book on Amazon in my profile. Enjoy! And to my readers, thanks for your patience.
