There was a time where I forget to take care of me... I was overweight, lacking confidence, and wasn't living life to the fullest! Can you relate?
I woke up one day and realized I deserved more!! I started to take care of ME!! I started working out, eating healthy, started doing things to make me happier and more confident each and every day! I am a NEW person today!! .
Now I'm on a mission to find that girl that used to be me!! To show her that she can CHANGE her story, love her body, and really love life.❤️

This is the good story about running in westchester - you were on a remote trail and somehow you got off and ran into a golf course, no shade, no idea how to get back on trail and golfers scolded at you... oh well, 7.7miles trail to start the weekend! #trailrunning #saxonwoodstrails #runnermom
15km family run around Draycote water ✅ Avg pace 6:08/km Avg HR 139bpm. Hubby has the London Triathlon coming up in a couple weeks so he was 💯 on board for a long run today 🙌 We loaded the kids up in the #bobduallie
and took turns pushing (one loop each). Whoever was pushing got to set the pace. It's been a while since I've pushed both kids in there. I forgot how hard it is 😂 It was really nice to have a family run in a nice location though and we ended it with a trip to the playground and ice lollies 😊 After a stressful week, I'm so happy the weekend is off to a lovely start ❤️ I hope all of you are having a great one as well 😘.

I love the running community! Had a great time meeting up with new and old friends at the Rock N Roll Chicago 5K this morning.
Side note: I started the race near a barefoot Elvis runner and got a lot of crowd attention from being in his proximity 🤩
I really needed/wanted a speed workout after a few days off from running for a family trip. I went with a short and simple 8x1 minute speed workout. (With warm up/cool down/ and recovery) It is short— but one of my favorites. It is a good speed workout confidence booster after some time off because you can always push yourself for 1 minute right ??? I hit all my time goals today by staying around 6:40 for each of the minute intervals. It made me think of the end of a 5k 😬😬😬 The last minute is always tough and hurts— but it’s over quick.

Leg/calf felt good after doing absolutely nothing yesterday. But I still wasn’t sure what to expect for today’s long run. I taped it this morning, and decided to just give it a try. I told the girls once we started that I wasn’t sure how long I would go with them, but I’d just play it by feel as I went. Felt a little tenderness and almost weakness when I first started- but once I got going it felt completely fine and I almost forgot about it! Good company definitely does that for you ❤️ (thanks @vogburn
and Jenn!) It also helped I think that we kept the pace nice and easy. *
Now that I’m back and have stretched, eaten, and walked around- it doesn’t feel any different or worse than before! So I’m hoping that’s a good sign! Still thinking maybe I just pulled a muscle or something 🤷🏻♀️ *
Rest day tmw.... so lots of stretching, foam rolling, and icing before Monday’s speed work. Not sure about that one yet... but I’m just gonna take it one day at a time! This week was supposed to be my highest mileage week ever with 60 miles.... but because I took off yesterday I only had 52 miles this week. At first I actually let that bum me out... but then I remembered how many blessing God has given me!! I have NO reason to let something as silly as a missed run to steal my joy!! God reminded me yesterday that my joy shouldn’t come from running or any other worldly things- but my joy comes from him!!! And I’ve got plenty of time to run higher mileage! *

Trying to come up with a smile but at this point I’d already thrown up 2x. I’ve never thrown up during it after a run. That changed today. 🤢
When I started my run at 6 the temp was 88(real feel 91) with 98% humidity. I had Hill intervals today so keeping threshold pace in this weather was going to be tough. Did 300 ft elevation training today and for the heat and 5 weeks into training I’m pretty proud of my numbers. At one point I didn’t even care what my numbers were bc I was out there doing it. I showed up when a lot wouldn’t have.. it’s Saturday and our city does a pole vaulting contest in the streets and today is the day! We will be heading downtown to watch that! Y’all have a happy Saturday!
6 weeks to train for a half marathon - I think I can! Because when you train for life, you can do anything you’d like!
I joined up with some local runners this morning for a 7 mile run and my legs felt really good! Just the confidence boost I needed to sign up for that local half!
Friends, God sometimes works in mysterious ways!! When you feel confused and lost, think about what lights that fire within your belly!! That fire is called YOUR PASSION.
For years I lived without PASSION and PURPOSE. And honestly, I had no clue what was calling me to do. Don’t be like me a waste away precious years yearning for something MORE, but being too scared to take the leap. We should wake up every single day full of excitement!! We DESERVE to rest our heads at night with a full, full heart.
When you LIVE OUT YOUR PASSION, your soul will feel ON FIRE. When your soul is on fire, then you can begin to change the world. HAPPINESS IS CONTAGIOUS! Don’t ever stop chasing that PASSION.
And who says your passion can’t become your business!? NOT THIS GIRL. I am living PROOF that anything is possible.

When you show up for the run group training run and the coordinator says, “We are doing some hills today,” and yesterday was leg day and last night was prep-the-food-night for your business (which means you were on your feet for hooouuurrrssss), you die just a little bit inside and weep a little bit (or a lot) on the outside.
But then you go. .
And then you hear your legs say, “We got you, girl.”
And then your heart says, “Imma keep pumping for you.”
And then your brain says, “Get to the top of the hill...we got this.”
And the next thing you know you ran 4 hilly miles without walking, and you are done.
I may not be an expert runner, but I know a good run when I get one, and today was a good run.

Today is my second rest day this week ✌🏻 This is something totally new to me but I am going to trust the process.
My body has been revolting against too many intense workout days so maybe this is just what I need 🤷🏻♀️ but it’s so hard to not push myself especially when I wake up and see I have a recovery rate of 92%
On another note it is almost 8am and I am still the only living creature awake in our house! That is more unusual than 2 rest days for me!
Saturday date breakfast. Making time for just us had gotten more and more important as our lives have gotten exponentially more busy.
So happy to have this time to spend with my favorite human.

Gav mig ut på en löptur imorse utan musik. Tänkte att jag skulle njuta och uppleva den gotländska naturen fullt ut. Bara jag mina andetag och naturen. Med kossor, får, grisar & hönor runtomkring mig. 🏞🏃🏼♀️
Kanske inte min bästa löprunda då kroppen var tung, andetagen ännu tyngre å jag ville bara vända tillbaka. Det var superjobbigt att springa utan musik i denna värmen. Men jag fortsatte, drog ner på tempot, stannade och fotade lite. 5 Km fick räcka denna morgon och lycklig ändå att jag fortsatte.
Det är inte alltid det är så himla härligt att träna men det är alltid så himla härligt efter att man har tränat. ——————-
Tillåt dig att ha dåliga träningsdagar, hylla sig själv för att du ändå gör något litet.
