Finally I found a place selling good #cheungfun
at a decent price. The restaurant is specialized in porridge but I was drawn here by their #sakurashrimp
I came here a few times previously but couldn’t dine due to the snaking long queue. Today, I reached there about 10 mins before open time and was let in immediately. I quickly ordered the sakura shrimp n roasted duck flavors. I was debating between 2 plates of cheung fun or 1 plate n 1 bowl of porridge (cos it’s their signature dish 🤓). But cheung fun is only served during lunch so...
How did they fare? Awesome! The rice noodles were thin n silky smooth, exactly how I want it to be. The sakura shrimp topping gave the cheung fun a nice flavor n depth that made me keep eating it. The roasted duck n preserved vegetables topping was a nice surprise. I didn’t think I would enjoy the plate that much. If only the preserved veggies were less salty then I could’ve polished everything off. Another plus point? The chilli padi which I don’t think you could find in Hong Kong 😅
