Many years ago as a @BrighamYoungUniversity
student I remember taking the first of these photos as an assignment for a photography class in capturing #architecture
. Ever since then I’ve always had an interest in photographing the #SaltLakeTemple
at any opportunity I’ve had over the years. The devices used have obviously changed as technology has advanced from #film
🎞 to #digital
, and from a #MinoltaSRT201
purchased with a summers work back in the mid-1970’s to more recent #Canon #DSLR
’s since the turn of the century (20th to 21st, not old enough to be 19th! 😜), and #SmartPhones
since 2008 (I’ve owned a #Blackberry
followed by 2 successive #iPhones
But the creative desire remains the same stemming from the use of film & process types (back in the day I loved using #Kodachrome64
slide film), to #Photoshop
& computer skills of today.
I’ve attended many weddings over the years & participating in the subsequent photo-shoots in the stairwells afterwards. I still marvel at how wedding photographers move around these steep stairs that can take your orientation and balance away all too easily when at the top. I’ve included a couple of captures in this set of this process hoping many will appreciate the seeming risk to limb & equipment that goes on 😱.
The concluding photo in this set is my ride home on the @rideuta
Highland Drive fast bus (route 320).
