2017 Santa Rosa 70.3. I have had some pretty great moments over the last few years that are worth reliving! This was an awesome weekend. It will always go down as a special race with awesome people. I decided to hop into this race last minute so I called up @ironmel140.6
and without hesitation she invited me to tag along with her on her already planned trip! @keshia_sawyer
even slept on the pullout and gave me the bed because she was Sherpa and wasn’t racing. They just welcomed me with open arms! We flew out, it was super chill, we laughed a lot and ate even more...AND it was a breakthru race for me that weekend. .
Trust me when I tell you there are MANY setbacks in this sport. I have had my fair share of them and there are more to come, I am sure of that too, it is just the nature of racing. BUT when you have those races, those days where everything seems to fall into place it makes it all worth it. You mentally push through barriers, physically overcome all the obstacles of the day and do what you set out to do. BUT the beauty of this sport, that even after those AWESOME days you come back wanting to see how much more you can push yourself, what else you can ask your body to do! Looking back, my success has truly come from my failures...they have made me who I am today!
If I haven’t already said this THANK YOU Melissa & Keshia! You two were there for a great day and were my biggest cheerleaders. Love you ladies. #friendsforlife
So many great memories of Santa Rosa! ❤️❤️
