“We had one daughter. She was killed in a road accident over nine years ago. She’d have been 50 next February. It was just after her fortieth birthday when it happened you see. It happened on Anglesey. She was a schoolteacher there. She’d just finished work and he came down on the wrong side of the road. Anyway, it’s nice when the suns out, its quite chilly when it goes behind the clouds isn’t it.“

The word "scouse" is a shortened form of "lobscouse", whose origin is uncertain. It is related to the Norwegian lapskaus, Swedish lapskojs and Danish labskovs and the Low German Labskaus, and refers to a stew commonly eaten by sailors. In the 19th century, poorer people in Liverpool, Birkenhead, Bootle and Wallasey commonly ate "scouse" as it was a cheap dish, and familiar to the families of seafarers. Outsiders tended to call these people "scousers". #thisisengland #scouse

Happy birthday Ox. Like this guy so much. I was so gutted when we found out how serious his injury was. But he acted so professional about it which got him everyone's respect. I wish you a quick recovery and many more screamers like those against Man City! ☺
