Last Friday evening I headed to @wreckfish_bistro
for the first time, I've been eagerly awaiting the visit for sometime ever since backing their original opening Kickstarter
I wasn't disappointed! Absolutely beautiful beautiful food in tandem with fantastic service all set-off by the stunning building. The place hums with activity but at the same time is intimate enough for a romantic meal. I've previously dined at sister restaurant @sticky_walnut
and Wreckfish only added to my admiration of @gary_gary_usher
offerings to the culinary world.
The dishes we tried were: Tomato, garlic and tarragon focaccia
Starters: Torched mullet with fennel and apricot
Sweetcorn Tortellini (can't recall everything that was in this as I never had it...) Mains: Loin of veal, torched savoy, courgette and basil puree, globe artichoke
Braised featherblade of beef, caramelised cauliflower puree, parmesan and truffle chips
With more parmesan & truffle chips on the side... Not to be missed!
Dessert: Porter ice cream, baked treacle, caramel, peanuts, Armagnac prunes
Pear and almond tart, caramelised pears, Chantilly cream
The entire experience was fantastic, will definitely be back again soon!
