Sometimes we get so caught up on the small things in life that we lose sight of the big picture. I’m definitely guilty of this. But when I look at my beautiful daughter, I’m reminded about how amazing life is. She is truly a miracle, life is a miracle. Whether it is stress with medschool or residency applications, or dealing with personal challenges, life will be full of ups and downs. Taking just a few moments everyday to reflect on the things in life that you are grateful for will make you a happier person. 📷 @melissakayphotography #lifeisgood #beinggrateful #happiness
I know all I do is complain about med school, but I never stop feeling blessed for how far I've come. I can't believe that this time a year ago, med school was still just a dream 🤩🤩🤩 I know it'll continue to be hard (and I'll continue to complain about it 😛) but I'm so thankful for the support I get from family & friends back home and I'm so grateful to find great friends to suffer through it with (y'all know who you are 😘) One semester down, seven more to go...

FINALS WEEK IS HERE! I have three finals to get through and have my first one to tackle tomorrow morning! 📚 I’m not one where education and learning is easy for me. I have to find ways to motivate myself to study and make sure I come up with a plan to not get distracted (or procrastinate). My vision board keeps me focused during these weeks. This was actually a class assignment but I’ve kept it and plan to keep it along the way.
My motivations are:
Better paychecks 💵
Travel ✈️ Buying a house 🏡
And those beautiful 5 letters #BSN #RN
Very proud of my bro! One major achievement of many more to come #gorunners
Thank you Christmas elf for this perfect nursey gift 🎁🎄👩🏼⚕️

We are so excited to announce that we will be partnering with some other #IINhealthcoaches
to bring you the "January Gut Reset," a 7 day program designed to rest your gut (and body!) and get it ready for a healthier 2019! .
Thanks to to the #GutBrainAxis
(the connection between the digestive system, the microbes within it, and the brain via the vagus nerve), the less-than-healthy treats that accompany the holiday season can leave you feeling drained, irritable, and unmotivated 💩🧠 Which is why a dietary reset that focuses on nourishing the gut is the perfect remedy for those post-holiday blues! It will also help you feel better physically and drop some of the inevitable food-induced bloat that is usually carried into the new year! .
If you are interested in joining us for this gut-rebuilding, clean eating program, be sure and send us a direct message or comment below and we fill you in on the details! 👇 And for those of you who have already expressed interest, we will be getting back to you tomorrow! 💕

today, and I’m really excited to see what community nursing is all about. 💉💗
Nurses experience courage and fear simultaneously in one shift!
As I’m reading #daretodream
, I cannot help but notice the value it brings to nursing.
Nurses have the courage to care for fragile patients, having a small sense of fear in every second of the shift that something can go wrong. We are constantly vulnerable!
It’s no surprise that nursing is exhausting, physically and emotionally. We must remain resilient in order to survive. But eventually our vulnerability hinders our resilience and we burn out.
Know your own limits. Know when to take a step back. Know when you need to care for yourself.
For this #selfcare
Sunday, take time to recharge your resilience!
What is something you do that helps you recharge after a shift stretch?
Gorgeous gifts going out today!!
Get your order in before Wednesday to get it in time for Christmas!!!
HOW WE MET!
I met Chris at the hospital, I was a student and he had just started working in the Cardiac Cath Lab full time. I asked him if he could let me into a door that required an ID badge, Chris awkwardly laughed and said, “Uh it’s my first day, I don’t have my badge but I’ll call someone to let us in.” 😂 😂
We hung out twice with a group of friends before I moved to Florida...without telling him or saying goodbye (yeah I ghosted him) BUT fast forward now 3 months after that to when it was my first day working full time in the Cardiology department for the same hospital.
You guessed it I didn’t tell him I was moving back either 😂 I ran into Chris in the exact same hallway, where we had first met ♥️ Fast forward almost 3 years later and we’re still together! How did you and your significant other meet!? I’d love to hear about it 😊
Assess. Intervene. Sleep. Repeat. 💉
You can tell who the strong women are. They are the ones building one another up instead of tearing each other down.
I am thankful I said yes to the unknown, that I jumped out of my comfort zone and continue to leave it every day. Thankful this has led to being able to build a savings, to pay for tanks of gas, for groceries, Christmas & birthday gifts, but it is SO MUCH MORE!
I found my tribe of strong women to be surrounded by. I found my strength-- physical & mental, my confidence to take the selfies, to lead others, a huge drive for myself & my future and for the ladies on my team. I found a way to release my fears & anxieties, a way to build something of my own, a way to be rewarded for what I am doing for myself & others.
Looking to take some amazing ladies on this journey with me in 2019, so if you thought "I wish" or "that'd be nice" or "that's what I'm looking for" to any of this, then reach out and let's get you what you want out of this life!
Me, during residency interviews: “Pick me. Choose me. Love me.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And they said Grey’s Anatomy was nothing like real life.... 😂💉👩🏼⚕️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Double digits people!! Only 88 more days until Match, but who’s counting? 😉
