Hazelnut cookies, made as a back up for TCB but too good not to share, so...
65g unsalted butter
100g dark chocolate
45g golden syrup
100g dark brown sugar
75g caster sugar
1 large egg
200g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Place all dry Ings into mixing bowl, set aside.
Place butter, hazel spread + golden syrup in a saucepan. Heat on low till butter melts
pour into drys, mix
Add egg and whisk
Rest in fridge 30 mins
Pre-heat oven to 195°C/180°C fan/gas mark 6
Line a couple of baking trays
roll dough into 12 golf ball sized pieces
Place the cookies onto the prepared trays
Bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes

Just coming in to talk squash for a minute. The squash in this salad is red kuri (aka onion), though it tastes a bit like chestnuts. It is so tasty and you can eat the skin!
