Feeling blah and over this weather!!! I think it’s not so much blah as it is that shut in feeling! And the ton of snow on the ground, freezing temperatures, makes it hard to get outside! But.... working on some hand stitching and some crocheting keeping the mind busy! Happy hump day!
Points of connection create intimacy in an image. Just the smallest shift to bring her hand on his arm into the shot, and the tiniest lean until their noses were touching, made all the difference here. So when you’re going for an intimate feeling in a photo, create more points of connection. Shift your composition to capture what’s naturally happening between them already, and then direct them to get juuuust a little closer. Trust me - they won’t mind. 😉
Working with watercolors today. I can’t believe my daughter wanted to try watercolors again. I bought this palette in October and it hasn’t been used because she refused but today I said Hugo and I were going to try them and after some hesitation she went for it and said she liked the palette better and enjoyed herself.
I am sometimes afraid to approach art with her, she always flips out. I don’t want to deal with the upset or her frustration but I realize it’s important to dig into the frustration and sadness and figure out what’s going on and remind myself it’s ok to feel. It’s good to feel. And it requires me to ask God for a little more patience.

| 📌 Blockhouse Bay, Auckland, New Zealand | 🗺 Last 2 days

“One day we drove my car out into the desert and his cousin came with us. Elvis drove that car as fast as it could go and I was in the front seat whooping and screaming and laughing. His cousin was on the floor in the back he was so scared. But I'd been a stunt player in the movies and Elvis couldn't go fast enough to scare me.” –Judy Spreckels⠀

Qual è il modo migliore per sconfiggere la malinconia da rientro? Iniziare a sognare nuovi viaggi!
We’re dreaming bigger than ever before this year. Festivals are on the list, but also wellness retreats and the chance to stretch the edges of the canvas in many different ways.
Creating a corner of luxury is at the heart of what we do, but it’s not an off the peg style. It’s a tailor-made experience, unique for every occasion, with one exception. Cotton sheets and comfort.
Wasn't going to post this but people asked to see the beach shot! this is calanque d'en vau, a hike away from Cassis through gorgeous limestone jurassic landscape (or reachable by boat!) I love how the cool rock formations creates these surreal shadows on the beach😍⛰🏝
How do you deal with the winter blues? I'm trying to embrace the season more and appreciate the solitude, introspection and cozy vibes that come with the dark, cold days. Seasons come and seasons go, it won't be like this forever, so might as well enjoy it for what it is, right? Even so, my mood dips quite a bit between January and April. I exercise, eat + supplement for the season, and even started using a SAD light. What works for you?⠀
