In just a couple of weeks, the viaduct - a staple man Seattleites have a love-hate relationship with - is being taken down.
That means instead of sweeping views of both the city skyline and the gorgeous Puget Sound, we’ll be driving inside the tunnel of the beast known as Seattle.
No more smells of the ocean, fried fish, and beer; just the smell of freshly-poured pavement.
Seattle has undergone lots of change in the time I’ve been living here, and I love it dearly still. But this is one thing I’m not looking forward to seeing changed.
So I put on my boots, walked the couple of blocks to Pike Place, and watched the cars drive down the viaduct for one of the last times.
Is there anything in your city that’s been a huge change since you’ve lived there? What was it and how did you feel when it was gone?
So excited to be heading back to California today!! As much as I love the PNW it will be nice to be home for a little bit. 📸: @jennalynnphotog
