Separated by coastal dunes, the #CoorongNationalPark
offers the best of both worlds. In our increasingly connected world - this is one of the best places to 'disconnect' and remind yourself that there are some pretty incredible 'like no other' places right on doorstep here in SA. Needless to say, we were pretty chuffed when @_aivanov
let us share this one 📸 with you!
It's well worth spending the day (or a few) here - and our team was lucky enough to spend one out in the lagoons at Long Point recently (nearby the #Meningie #LowerLakes
). Tracy and Glen Hill (also known as the 'Wild Man of the Coorong') took us for a close up catch + cook encounter with their @coorongwildseafood
operation. This spot is one of incredible beauty, with the water views, native wildlife, and isolated fishing spots making it a nature-lovers paradise. It's right here that Glen catches alot of his #CoorongMullet
, which they supply to some of the most famous restaurants and chefs in Australia (the names 'Maggie Beer' or 'Simon Bryant' ring any bells with you?). But - you don't need to be a famous chef to get your hands on the Coorong delicacy, you can just drop in to Glen and Tracy's 'seafood cellar door' in Meningie and grab your own to take home.
In the meantime, if you need any extra Coorong travel inspo, make sure you lock a date in to hit up the cinemas in January, when the remake of Storm Boy hits our screens again!
