It’s true. Science shows that around 90% of humans have sexual fantasies. 😊
I’ve had all sorts of fantasies, and a number of times when I’ve shared these fantasies with my partners, I have received reactions that hurt.
I’ve experienced reactions that hurt for fantasizing about and wanting to try various sexual positions, anal sex, watching porn with my partner, threesomes, foursomes, group sex, receiving anal stimulation, watching women make love, watching a heterosexual couple make love, and the list goes on.
If it’s not yet obvious... sex fascinates me.
Being the sensitive dude that I am (and I think all humans are more sensitive than they’ll admit), my hurt from those reactions occasionally turned into shame. (From “ouch!” to “I must be a bad person”).
I don’t want to throw my past partners under a bus here, because my ability to communicate about sensitive topics royally SUCKED up until about two years ago. Since then, I’ve studied communication regularly, and my abilities are slowly improving.
Now I know that there are many ways I could have shared my desires with my past partners that would have resulted in a more closeness - whether or not the fantasy ever actually happened.
And, there are ways I could have shared my fantasies that would have made them more likely to happen too. (Not from a place of manipulation, but from a place of genuine connection).
Things to ponder:
1. No person is under any obligation to fulfill any fantasy for anyone.
2. In relationship, no one’s fantasy is more important or valid than the other persons. There is no value hierarchy in this realm.
3. A danger with fantasies is that if they become fixations. They can start to impact the way you view and interact with other humans. People can become reduced to characters in your fantasy. (Speaking from firsthand experience and what I’ve read on the topic).
4. With that in mind... all genders have fantasies about scenarios that involve crossing lines of consent. AND without being an expert on the topic I’d say it’s probably not healthy to regularly fantasize about that.
Have you ever experienced shame around a fantasy of yours? Care to share?
Artwork from prehistoric times has revealed that before formal religion, nature religions existed around the world. If we look at the artwork in ancient caves and pyramids we can find religions centered around their devotion to natural phenomenons like wind, fire, water, animals, natural events, north, east, south, west and the female. The female was revered because she was most closely related to nature because she had the ability to give life through birth. During this time, Diety were usually portrayed as female goddesses, who were at the center of ancient worship practice. These societies were mostly matriarchal. There was no religious text or teaching. Sex was not taboo, and much of the art depicted people that were gay, transgender. The art shows images of masturbation, prostitution and people practicing alternative sexual behaviors. Spirituality and sexuality were not dualistic in the way they evolved to be through organized religion. Art by the talented @austyn

Imagine if a movie director approached you and said, “I would like to make a movie of your life. You can tell the story of your life any way you would like.
It’s your story to tell.
We just need to know if you would like to be cast as a victim, a survivor, or a hero in the movie of your life.” What would you say?
How would you answer?
I want to be the HERO of my story. I have discovered the strength, skills and understanding to enjoy a rich, full healthy life with Trent- despite the problem I battled for years in our intimate life.
A hero sets out to help others by sharing what they have discovered and that is what I am choosing to share.

August 10th was the 25th Anniversary of when Ruth Bader Ginsburg was sworn in as a United States Supreme Court Justice. I recently watched the new documentary RBG and found her story just so inspiring; so, the next few posts will be a tribute to one of the most impressive and empowering women of our time.
A notorious advocate for gender and racial equality, access to reproductive healthcare has been an important topic as demonstrated in the way she ruled.
For example, in 2016, the Supreme Court struck down Texas’s HB2c which was a bill that would have restricted abortion providers, which then deems obtaining abortions as inaccessible to those without means. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Of the 5-3 ruling, RBG wrote, “It is beyond rational belief that H.B. 2 could genuinely protect the health of women, and certain that the law would simply make it more difficult for them to obtain abortions...When a State severely limits access to safe and legal procedures, women in desperate circumstances may resort to unlicensed rogue practitioners...at great risk to their health and safety. So long as this Court adheres to Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pa. v. Casey, Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers laws like H.B. 2 that do little or nothing for health, but rather strew impediments to abortion, cannot survive judicial inspection.”

In heterosexual relationships, women often prioritize the pleasure of their partner over their own. Let’s change this! We should have the right to equal pleasure! The first step to this is learning what feels good to you. We suggest masturbating which helps you discover what you like, so that you can send signals to your partner and have an equally pleasurable experience. Image: @frances_cannon #thecoral
Now that you know what a sexual network is, why should you care about it? Because the bigger your sexual network is and how consistently (or not) you use condoms—especially in areas where there is a higher concentration of certain sexually transmitted infections (STIs)—can mean increasing the chances of encountering an STI, like HIV. So, keep using healthier sex practices like condoms and lube, getting tested regularly, and talking to a healthcare provider about all your prevention options including medicines, like PrEP.

You might just end up regretting it! 😱🎉🙈🚀
Many women are stopping using hormonal contraceptives such as the pill because they’re sick of the side effects
This means they might be using something like a natural fertility app (which aren’t always very reliable).. or maybe nothing at all (you think us women always have our shit together!? WE DON’T)
But if you cum in her she can always get the morning after pill right!? WRONG - morning after pills work by delaying ovulation (the release of her egg) but if she has already recently ovulated then there’s nothing it can do! There may still be a free range egg for your free range sperm to dip into
Check before you f*ck 🙏 #talkcontraception #MaleMondays
