Panic attacks are frightening and debilitating. Tightness in your chest, difficulty breathing, sweating, dizzy, feeling wobbly inside 😢 Living with anxiety and what it brings has massive impacts on your daily routine- some days even leaving the house can be difficult.
Getting grounded is good for coping- focusing on something real such as your breathing, an object, a building, counting to 10, counting your steps may help. 💜 Be gentle and reassuring to those experiencing such panic, they are frightened. Calm words, and staying with them till it passes will always help. Panic attacks only last for minutes, although those minutes can seem like hours. Just keep talking to them in the same way you would like to be spoken to if you were terrified 💜
