Summer is wrapping up for our kiddos and I’m so excited to jump back into a real schedule 🤪

Have a fabulous Friday eve☺️
Knox Suede detail. A double sided beauty made from the finest Italian Perforated Suede. A statement piece.
I don't have a lounge in the Shack out the Back but I do have this old single bed I bought years ago off gumtree for $20 which I use as a daybed and it actually works really well. I just use the Kmart body pillow along the length of the wall at the back for comfort🌸
But what I wanted to show you is this beautiful throw I found the other day at #tkmaxxaustralia
for only $40, it's just stunning, they have some amazing things in at the moment and are really worth checking out😉
Have a great day✨

2 more days of work left and than 5 weeks off and I have no plans exactly on what I’m going to do besides thinking in that time I can make over 3 kids rooms and my own. My husband is already stressing that I’m going to be spending more money while Im home than when I go to work every day... well this may be true with my make over plans 😬🙈 #lifewins
Throwback to when my kitchen was clean 😂✨ The downside to living in such a small studio apartment and being so busy all the time is everything gets messy real quick! #monochromehome #smallspacesquad
Where I’d rather be. I think its safe to say I’m suffering more than the littles with school going back this week. 😩 Just pass the coffee and no one gets hurt! 😜☕️☕️☕️ #morningslikethese
fresh off the easel! “Hothouse Bouquet” is available, 24x30, gallery wrapped canvas. DM to purchase. I will list in my Etsy shop tomorrow!

Today mostly involved painting. So. Much. Painting.
But the external doors are ready to hang, most of the bedroom snagging is done... it’s go go go with 20,900 paint brushes loaded up. Sometimes I wish I was an octopus 🐙 🎨
I’m most excited about shelves & plants. I think we will get to the stage everything but floors will be done & it’ll take every ounce of strength not to put things on the walls 😂
Modern Farmhouse, anyone? •
framed shiplap with a metal buffalo cutout 🖤🌿
This one is hanging in my brothers house... my family loves my art🤣
Having a desk clean is one of those little things that make a world of difference to my productivity level and general mood, like having a clean kitchen and a made bed. These three things can’t seem to happen at the same time in our house though, so I have to appreciate one at a time 😂
What’s your workspace like? Is it tidy and organized, or a total mess? Does it affect you either way? I’d love to know!
Click the link in my profile for product sources, or follow me on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app. FYI this desk is an IKEA hack, but I’ve linked to similar styles ☺️

Progress photo of our kitchen update...floors installed, cabinets painted, new backsplash and replaced hardware. Now just have to replace our trim and lighting and I’ll be ready to share a before & after ✨#wip
There are a lot of requirements for my dream-home when I'm older, and a personal library, preferably as pretty as this one, is one of them! 📚
P.s. English and Italian seem to go quite well (if I do say so myself)..

Stasera seratina solo per me e Alberto e guarda caso ho deciso proprio di mettere questo vestitino vintage color menta! Ne ho parlato sul blog, come utilizzare i vestiti per un’idea décor facile e veloce 😊 // Tonight little dinner just me and Alberto and I decided to wear this vintage mint dress! On the blog a few ideas how to use dresses to make a simple and easy styling in the bedroom 😊
We just listed this lovely set to the shop!
Dark Teak Dining Set (almost rosewood in color) with Expandable Leaves and 6 Chairs, $1295
Hello 11k followers!! Thanks for coming by! 🎉 I’m actually quite speechless! ⠀
It sounds daft, but before I went on maternity leave I gave myself a personal target to reach 10k by the time I returned to work, and today, 3 months into my mat leave I’ve done it 😱. (It massively helps when super Mum blogger @mother_of_daughters
mentions you. Thanks again Clemmie!) So I thought it was time to show my face and tell you a little about me. Yep that’s me pushing Otis☝🏼 standing in front of the worlds worst pointed wall. I’m a wife, and a mother of one to our 10 week old baby Otis and I’m currently on maternity leave from my fashion design job. I set up my blog ‘house lust’ to document our Victorian terrace house renovation (I know it sounds like some seedy brothel, but honestly it’s not 🙈😂, pick your blog name wisely guys!) but along the way I’ve added the odd travel/shopping interior guide and most recently I branched into baby/ nursery interiors, as it seemed like the natural step. ⠀
Being a new mum can be super tough at times, but being able to chat to new people through instagram is something that has already kept me sane. I’m a huge advocate for women supporting other women (and men!), as I’ve already had some unwelcome comments- mainly from people I know who feel it necessary to voice their opinion, and quite frankly no one needs any kind of negativity, especially not a new Mum.
I just wanted to say a huge thanks for stopping by, and I hope you’ll stick around! And don’t worry, I’ll get back to posting about interiors again tomorrow!
The baby bag rucksack was kindly #gifted

to test out. (Everything they sell is parent and child tested!) The bag is by @tibaandmarl.
It’s super practical and looks pretty darn nice too. 🙌🏼😎⠀
Lots of fluffing going on today! Getting ready to welcome guests and leaving for a family vacation in Potter County, PA. There’s no cell service there, so we’ll be unplugged, but I’ll take some pics to share later. It’s too great of a place not to share. 😍 See you on the other side - 👋 📷:the Matilda Flat
Sometimes you need to walk away from anything that no longer makes you happy or serves a purpose. Do what's best for you.
How is it only Wednesday?! At least the kitchen is clean 👏🏼
Experimenting with backyard foliage. This is a magnolia branch snipped from a tree in my backyard. Magnolia trees are ubiquitous here in the South. They're evergreens so available as fresh cuttings year-round plus they last forever! Scroll for more views --> By the way, the framed print is of the Birmingham skyline in 1914. So cool.

Since we moved, we’ve been wondering how our 2.5 year old feels about the new home. So it was enlightening when on our drives back from being out and about he’s started saying, “My miss home.” When we asked where his home was he’d reply, “My miss Dada, my miss Mama, my miss Mooseypoo, my miss my bed.” And with a prompt, “My miss Awa.” 😅 We think he’s doing alright. 💛
Fuchsia is the nemesis version of an #heirloomplants
for my family.. My grandmother, her cousin, my mom and aunts all love this plant but non of them can keep it alive.. So in spring when everywhere was bursting with fuchsias I picked up a small one.. It was filled with blooms but quickly lost ever single one 😔 I was sure my fate would be the same as those that came before me and never succeeded. When I left for vacation and left all my plants at my boyfriends care I was sure that would be the end for this plant. But when I returned not only the plant grew in size but it had a couple of flowers too😍 So maybe there is a family curse when it comes to fuchsias😂
I stayed up soooo late last night designing my office, which currently has pink carpet, and it’s really ruinin my vibe in there. 😉 These pretty flowers are not, however, and I definitely needed the blast of sunlight to get moving this morning.
