I recall seeing photos of this mosque many years ago and the thinking how beautifully located it was and how picturesque it looked. I have visited Turkey many times over the last three years and I still hadn’t had the chance to visit this place. Finally I managed to see it. It really didn’t disappoint. I loved the hustle and bustle leading up to the waters edge with market stalls. The sheer volume of pigeons. The old Turkish man selling seeds and food for the birds. It was beautiful. I’d love to see it again one day perhaps at sunrise.
"Are we alone?
I need something to believe in
Tell me, are we alone?
Where is the love? Where is the feeling?
Is anybody out there?
Is anyone listening?
Is anyone left in this whole world?
Or are we alone?

The room was too crowded, making it impossible to think. To breathe, in fact, as the sound of unspoken angers and of misfit sensations blew rumors of lies to my hears.
I passed through the doors, not sure of what was waiting for me on the other side.
I looked around, inhaling the strong flavour of wet gras and sit on the edge of the swimming pool. My feet touched the cold water and silence came through.
My thoughts were finally mine.
Another perfect weekend spent in my little piece of paradise - Abrantes - with my lovely and happy family is now about to be over.
That's on moments like this, when my heart is full of joy and love for the poeple filling it and has something beautiful to look forward to in the near future, that I thank the world for putting the pieces of my life into place and taking me to where I am right now.
I am home. I am happy.
