I have a wonderful lady called Stacey sharing her story. She is an exceptionally inspirational person who has turned something negative in her life into a thriving and shining passion! We love that, Stacey!
Her company is called Bean & Boy and makes the most beautiful natural soaps which are so pure that you could even eat them! She is also a mum of 2 and juggles everything to follow her heart.
We are entering into a new way of living with our environment, our bodies and Mother Earth... and Stacey fully embodies the changes we are starting to make.
Here is Stacey’s story: “So much of what we put onto our skin is absorbed into our bodies - so why would you slather yourself in chemicals? We carefully check our food labels and check calories, but happily put harmful carcinogenic products all over our faces and bodies. I don't think it's intentional at all, it's just about awareness and reaching that turning point.
My turning point was having kids. My daughter has mild eczema and I had to change our washing powder and shampoos. I started researching other options and discovered that soap, good for so many things, would be a good solution for my family. Then my son was born with really extreme eczema, and everything had to go: no shop-bought "natural" soap, no shampoo, nothing. Bubble bath was the worst offender.
After much research, I started making traditional natural soap from basic skin-loving ingredients to help make bath time fun. It was a brilliant lightbulb moment: no reactions, no tears, and straight back to happy baths. And you can use soap for so many things! Laundry, skincare, shampoo, cleaning.
I had my soaps safety assessed and scientifically proven to be safe for infants, and my life changed. Now I make soap full time to share with other families, I teach soapmaking to help encourage people to live more naturally, and I try to make as much as I can and live a low impact life wherever possible: no more plastic bottles, no more harmful chemicals, no more eczema reactions and breakouts. This is my healthy, and my happy.” You can find Bean & Boy on Instagram here: @beanandboy
