Thank you @studioflopilates
for the feature
This is Lojain Alrefae, maybe you recognize her from class, either taking or observing. She is a Pilates teacher from Saudi Arabia and taking part in a SFP mentorship with @Jennierathke
-What brings you to San Diego?
I came to San Diego for vacation and to visit my family. -How did you find SFP?
Initially through social media (thank you @jennbradypilates
Ha! That’s me!) Also, my younger brother did some research and made visits to the studios in the area and inquired about different programs. -What is the Pilates community like in Saudi Arabia?
It’s becoming more and more mainstream and currently being offered through a number of reputable studios. I teach at a studio called @pulsestudiosksa
. -What did you gain from your mentorship with Jennie and SFP?
I gained more knowledge and a better understanding in using different muscles and connecting with my body through different techniques and movements. I was also exposed to a different, more classical side of Pilates whereby I was challenged in a way that’s different from any other training techniques. -How will this mentorship enhance your teaching?
This mentorship will give me the opportunity to transfer my knowledge through training in a market and at a time where the demand for such expertise is needed. In addition, I will be able to offer a greater variety of classes all encompassing the core concepts of body kinesthetics. #sfp #sdpilates #sandiegopilates #pilatesmentorship #pilatescontinuingeducation #sidesplits #pilates #pilatesreformer #jeddah #saudiarabia #middleeast #pilatesbody
