When I found out I was having a boy, I cried for about a week after they told me. Don’t get me wrong I was excited, but I was convinced I was having a girl. So much so I was saying her and had a name all picked out.
I grew up in a house of all girls and had no idea how to raise a boy- I’m pretty sure I still don’t. Thank goodness God has placed some amazing men in our lives to help when I am at a loss.
Fast forward 7 years and I would not change a thing. This silly, ninja kicking, super hero loving, amazingly imaginative, crazy boy of mine is the one who keeps me on my toes and in stitches every day. I mean how do you not laugh when he says “let’s make silly faces and take a picture”?
He is always running to give me hugs and telling me “I am the best mom ever” and “that’s my mama”. I hope and pray these moments don’t end any time soon since they are some of my favorites.
Now when I think back and realize I was upset I laugh, because I had no idea how amazing having a boy would be - and I can’t even begin to think what I would do with a girl. .
