I was spending more and more time in #savasana
, you know #CorpsePose
, marinating in post #AshtangaHeat
, feeling the Houston Sun seep into me as gravity fought to pull me down through the cement slab in my parents backyard.
For months, I had been working towards a travelling man's purity, not through the isolation of a monastic way, but through the wrapping of my daily experience with #UjjaiBreath
, constantly sinking deeper into the rhythm of of the moment. If I had a large block of time, I was flowing through #asanas
, 2 or 3 times a day, and along with the usual suspects, I was juicing the hard stuff often, parsley AND cilantro, cayenne pepper AND ginger, popping raw garlic cloves like multivitamins.
It was intense. It was deconstructive. It cleared the ground duo something new could grow. It was during this time, that my time closest to the Earth, in corpse pose, pulled me a bit further down this path towards the mysterious, as I shifted from passively feeling my body flatten due to gravity's pull, to actively seeking a deeper connection to that pull's source.
I began to visualize my center of mass pulling on the Earth's center of mass. Once I was able to visualize that connection, I began to imagine being filled with the volcanic heat of the Earth's core finding it's way into me, ounce by ounce, inch by inch, making us one temperature. I then began reaching for its electromagnetic heart, watching the EM field course through me, feeling it dance, organ by organ, cell by cell, atom by atom making us one charge.
It made me feel... different. I eventually got to a point where I could call upon this different way of feeling without riding savasana for long periods of time, and I wound up walking through the world, connected. Like being connected tends to do, it opened doors, and i walked through a few of them.. #CapitalC #2Bodies #OneVibe #SingingDuet #Jammin #WhenBreathFollowsMovement #LifeBecomesYoga #PathTowardsTheMysterious
