Singing ‘The Look of Love’ with Burt Bacharach on piano. 1970. — Tom’s classic song, ‘What’s New, Pussycat?’ was written by Burt Bacharach as the theme to the 1965 movie of the same name. Tom has said that when Mr. Bacharach first introduced the song to him that he thought it was a joke, based on how Burt sang it to him and the content of the lyrics. But Burt reassured him that it was a crazy song intended for a crazy film, so Tom relaxed, recorded the song, and when it was released in the summer of 1965, it was a hit, thus leading Tom’s popularity to continue to grow.
Went all girlie ready to meet, fall further in love with and marry Sir Tom ...but he didn’t want to marry me so chose to go to hospital to avoid me... heartbroken 😩💔😂
Exactly 50 years apart- same birthday- I’m 28... he’s 78... I still would 💕
Don’t worry Tom mama may have told you not to come this time and it’s not unusual, but I am a sex bomb and I will be burning down the house because I am a daughter of darkness... but they often say “she’s a lady” to me too so help yourself to my love because I’m way better than Delilah so how about you love me tonight... oh and you can leave your hat on 🎵💕🎶
get well soon... 💕💕💕💕💕💕

With John Farnham on Hey Hey It’s Saturday (an Australian program), singing the classic “My Yiddishe Momme”. 1990 || Sir Tom is sick with a bacterial infection at the moment. Really hope that he is able to recover healthily and will be well enough to continue doing what he loves. But I also hope that he will take more breaks, because he’s not 30 anymore. He needs his rest, and hopefully he is getting just that as he recovers from this current illness.
I love him lots and am sending him nothing but love and well wishes at this time. 💙
The ladies love TJ! Here’s a clip from American Newsflash that aired in the 1980s. This was during Tom’s crossover into country music. I gotta say: these ladies spoke nothing but the truth! Especially the girl at the end, I feel the exact same way as her sometimes 😂 Hope you all enjoy this short and amusing clip like I have.
Getting ready for a gig in 1967. — Here’s another question for you all: When did you become a fan of Sir Tom? 😊
Such a powerful and inspirational song and what a performance by Sir Tom Jones circa 1968 on his tv series “This is Tom Jones.” #music #tomjones #sirtomjones
I wonder what he was talking about when this pic was taken...🤔
We were treated to Sir Tom Jones performing at Alnwick Castle on Friday night! The Welsh icon put on quite a show and treated the crowd to classics such as What’s New Pussycat, Sex Bomb, It’s Not Unusual and Delilah! The superb castle added a dramatic backdrop to a perfectly lovely evening! Thank you to @realsirtomjones
Stopping to give an autograph, using a fan’s back as support, while at a train station. 1966
Six rows away from the legend that is Sir Tom Jones. Loved every second of last night’s gig at Powderham Castle. And yes, there were grannies throwing knickers. And one over enthusiastic bloke #legend #tomjones #sirtomjones #powderhamcastle
The wonderful coaches of the Voice UK 2018. If I could sing, I’d definitely want to be on Sir Tom’s team! 😏
Prior to being a successful singer, Tom had been a regular cigarette smoker and beer drinker. Then, when he hit it big with ‘It’s Not Unusual’, his manager at the time, Gordon Mills, told him that soon he’d be smoking cigars and drinking wine. Tom shrugged him off, thinking that’ll never happen. How could he give up his precious cigs and beer? — Well, he did. And here’s a pic to prove it ;)
