Do yourself a favour and gain a little perspective ⬇️ (keep reading!) 👀
What do I mean? Well sometimes we are so close to a situation that we can’t seem to step back and look at it from a different point of view. This has to be one of the single most detrimental things you can do when it comes to any aspect of your life.
I struggle finding perspective too. When I think about my fitness goals and how far I am from reaching them, I start to shut down because I know that it’s going to take me a while to get there (and trust me when I say that I can be VERY critical and self destructive). .
When you find yourself doing this same silly thing... gain some perspective by reflecting on how far you’ve come rather than how far you still need to go. If you are working toward a goal, small changes each day will get you there and these small changes matter the most. And don’t forget to be patient because “good things take time”. .

Transformation comes in so many different forms!
There is an obvious difference between these two pictures.
You can see the smaller waist, butt and legs. The muscle tone in the back and arms.
What you don’t see is that the scale is only 5 pounds off, there is a year between the pics, 4 months of physical therapy and massage, bouts of sickness, and lots of self doubt.
Seeing this side by side comparison came as a shock to me. I still don’t see myself as fit and healthy. I still think I have a long way to go in terms of my goals.
However, progress is being made. It hasn’t come easy. It hasn’t come fast. But it is going to last and I am going to be better for it!
Fitness is definitely a journey!
There is no quick fix. No pill, no diet, no 90 day fix all workout program.
The only way to become your healthiest version is to find something that is convenient and simple that you can maintain LONG TERM.
Results don’t happen overnight. They come with steady progress, daily struggle, and a strong willpower to be healthy for your kids, your spouse, and for yourself!
Mama said there’s a storm coming, but I don’t see it. 🤷🏾♀️⛈🙈
