Yesterday’s meals. Breakfast was raspberries, blueberries, chopped apple and pear with Arla 20g protein flavoured quark. (1.5 syns) Lunch was a ham sandwich using my HEB (eaten before remembering to take a pic) Tea was beef stroganoff using 4 syns for the soured cream, with baby new potatoes cooked in the actifry with peas and carrots. Again, I have no idea on the syn values for the day but I am pleased with my efforts as I could have blown it and chosen differently. Breakfast was baked eggs at Caffe Concerto, which is peppers and tomatoes, baked with eggs and ricotta and spinach. Saturday’s meals. In London to see Foo Fighters. Breakfast was overnight oats before we left. Lunch was at Bumpkin at Westfield at Stratford and I chose the little plates. Bubble & squeak with a poached egg, veg and rice. 1 gin and slimline tonic and Diet Coke for the rest of the day. No tea as we were in the stadium from 4pm and everything was closed by the time we came out and got back to the hotel. Luckily @paul.hemstock thought ahead and brought a packet of hifi bars with us so we had 2 of those and a satsuma. Friday breakfast was 40g Ready Brek with frozen raspberries. Lunch was a Jkt potato with a very small sprinkling of cheese and beans. Tea was the gorgeous 2 syn fish cakes from Morrison’s with kale, tender stem broccoli, green beans and asparagus. Ending the day on 8 syns. Today’s breakfast was at the Cosy Club and really disappointing. I’ve counted 6 syns for any oil that this may have been cooked in. I gave the toast to Paul. It may have been more syns but I’m ok with that as I’ve not gone over on any other day so far. Weigh day yesterday and unfortunately I put 1/2lb on! This is so frustrating but as you know, I haven’t had very much speed food at all due to my recent flare up. Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s meals. Tuesday’s lunch was pasta with chicken, sweetcorn, peppers and 1 syns worth of lighter than light mayo with 2 of the Seriously spreadable cheese squares for 1.5 syns each. I added pomegranate seeds which were lovely. I would really recommend the fish cakes. They are so tasty and make you think that you are having something naughty. At 2 syns each they are fab! Today’s meals have been strawberries, blueberries and an Arla Protein flavoured quark for 1.5 syns for breakfast. An apple and a satsuma mid morning and then a SW Tuscan bean soup for lunch with 2 x broghies for 2 syns. Tea was a quick chicken in black bean sauce stir fry with rice noodles. Epic mistake with syns though as I didn’t check it until I was eating it. The rice noodles worked out at 3.5 syns for my portion and the black bean sauce was 3.5 syns for my portion too! 7 syns! oh well, I’m not over on syns but that has reconfirmed that I need to check before eating! Very, very busy 2 days. Yesterday’s breakfast was 2 x weetabix for HEB with milk from HEA. Lunch was in a pub and I chose liver and onions with new potatoes and veg. I’m counting 6 syns for the oil and gravy, as it may have been cooked in oil. There was no butter on the potatoes or veg. Tea last night was after my meeting so was at 10pm! Spaghetti hoops, bacon and boiled egg for ease and quickness. I did have a 2 pack of Biscoff biscuits at the meeting for 3 syns so ended the day on 9. Today I have been awake since 3.22am as we had the alarm set for 5am as we were off to Donington Park to cook breakfast for the Marshals of the British Touring Cars. My breakfast was griddled bacon and egg, cooked by the Scouts. I had mine on a serviette rather than in a cob. Due to my body clock being all over the place, we missed lunch today but had 2 x SW burgers for tea with a jacket potato, veg and 3 syns for the 2 x Seriously spreadable cheese cubes which are 1.5 syns each. After a really painful day with my tummy yesterday, I very nearly didn’t go and get weighed this morning. I was at my wits end last night and in a lot of pain. I pulled my big girls pants on this morning and went along anyway. -2.5lbs off thankfully so I’m so pleased that I went. I’ve decided that I’m going to leave off the salad and some fruit this week to see if my pain improves. I always knew that this was going to be a tricky day with us celebrating Sydney’s birthday (as I’m at work on Tuesday, so we’ve been out today). I used 5.5 syns for breakfast and lunch and had the chicken penne romana bake, which was lovely and had no cheese in, as it was in a tomato based sauce rather than cheesy. I did have a piece of the birthday cake which was gorgeous too. Obviously over on syns today but no guilty feelings as I could have been a lot worse and I was celebrating my daughters 16th! Odd day today..... breakfast out at the Bear in Derby. It was absolutely lovely, but no idea on syn values. Almond milk would be HEA and oats would be HEB but no idea on weights and measurements. Breakfast was 40g of Honey Monster Oat puffs (HEB) with skimmed milk from HEA allowance and a chopped banana. Lunch was 3 Broghies (1 syn each) topped with fat free cottage cheese and pineapple from Tesco, ham and tomato and tea was gammon and SW chips with pineapple (not cooked.....just grilled for a minute or two to take the chill off) and spinach! I had an apple and a Double chocolate crisp hifi bar (3 syns) as snacks. Today’s meals. Breakfast was frozen fruit and yoghurt left overnight to defrost and I added 10g grape nuts for 2 syns to give it some crunch. Lunch was the new frozen SW Fish Pie from Iceland. It was ok, nothing to get too excited about though. I served it with cream beans, and carrots for speed and then peas and sweetcorn (steam fresh veg for quickness). Tea was campfire stew and spinach.
