I got some heat on @LinkedIn
about me and this picture with @troubleman31.
A banker asked, “why would you share your platform with a 2-time convict?” I laughed, “shared?” T.I. allowed me/us (other people) to use his platform to talk about the power of voting.
If I have to step onto T.I.’s platform to talk about voting, entrepreneurship, or becoming a business owner that what it’s going to be. Nelson Mandela, MLK, and Malcolm were all incarcerated, that doesn’t change their narratives.
I was one of those kids. I know the probability of the likelihood of my success. I also know how important it is to see a brother that’s not a rapper, athlete, or actor.
I think @champagnepapi
rapped it best, “it takes a certain type of man to teach, to be far from hood, but understands the streets.”
