In my relatively short lifetime, technology has progressed to the point of unfathomable proportions. With my latest purchase, the #sonya7iii
along with the #1635gm
wide angle lens, I’m blown away by how far we’ve come. I grew up at an interesting time... 8 tracks were still being talked about, though the cassette tape was the norm. I was raised in a household where technology was deemed to be a “bad thing,” something that would “rot my brain,” “ make me lazy,” and “cause more harm than good.” I guess with anything, excessive dependency could be a slippery slope to failure, but, if we have these amazing tools all around us, what’s the harm in adapting to the new progressive approach of “pushing the envelope.” In my opinion we should be open to learning and exploring the amazing tech that comes out everyday, as long as we can hold on to that inner “human” need to create art and not loose sight of our abilities to adapt.
