Robert Stevenson says, “Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.” How many seeds have you planted? Are you going to have a plentiful and bountiful harvest? Filled with provisions for years to come... Or are you going to have a lacking, meager, unfruitful harvest? •
Sowing and reaping is also a law of the spiritual world. It is more than just an agricultural principle. It is a principle of life that we reap what we sow. It says so in the Word of God; “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” Galatians 6:7
This was God’s teaching to us. There is no way around it... every time we choose an action, we also choose the consequence of that action. Whether good or bad. Sowing and reaping also implies WAITING. The farmer must be patient in order to see the fruit of his labors. But to bring forth a plentiful harvest, the farmer can’t just leave the seed he planted. The verse goes onto say, “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 •
Just like in the natural, those who plant apple seeds, should expect to harvest apples. Those who sow in anger, should expect to receive what anger naturally produces. Galatians 6:8 says, “Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit (Jesus Christ), from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” •
The “rule” is, the more seed planted, the more fruit harvested. The Word of God applies this law to our giving. In 2 Corinthians 9:6 is states, “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” This principle is NOT concerned about the amount of the gift, but with the spirit in which it is given. God LOVES a cheerful giver. •
On my vision board is the word “GIVE” numerous times. But it’s not just referring to giving someone money or gifts... it’s also about giving people FREEDOM. Giving people INDEPENDENCE. Giving people their HEALTH back. Giving people HOPE. Giving people WORTH. Giving people LOVE... through Jesus Christ, and through Young Living. Everyday I choose to plant those seeds. Are you?
