Washing and blocking two of my favourites made me smile 😀
The bright pinks is TGV (High Speed Knitting) A bought pattern by Susan Ashcroft. Not my usual colours but I was really drawn to the yarn in the skein. This is it's second wash and it bled a lot again so although I love my TGV I don't think I'll use that yarn again 😕 In its favour though is that it has been used a lot and there is still no sign of pilling.
The cream with burgundy will be instantly recognisable to some folk - it's Leftie by Martina Behm - another bought pattern.
The cream is handspun superfine merino (laceweight-ish) for the main colour and burgundy handspun superfine merino with silk (laceweight-ish) for the stripes and leaves (it's big, it's got 41 leaves - I think the pattern calls for 27 but feel free to correct me on that). I love this shawl! It's the first item I knitted with my own handspun and it's now on its third winter and shows a few little sign of age. The burgundy has bled a little in a few places but I don't mind that, I think this is it's 5th wash. When this was close to finished it won the unfinished items category at my spinning guild AGM 😀
