I changed my body years ago when I first lost all the weight but only this year did I finally learn to love myself. All of me. At my best, worst and during the transitions. I have reframed my thoughts to be positive and accepting of life’s challenges instead of the pessimistic victim I used to allow myself to be. I’ve evolved from being an overly emotional individual to using my emotions as a tool to be kind and empathetic without letting it weaken me. I have let go of the things I can not control and and am grateful for everyday I can fight to be better. _____________________________________ I built this!! My choices. My effort. My diligence. So what does that mean?? That if you are not happy or satisfied and are just letting life pass you, there is another option. Choose!! Choose to do better. Choose to BE better. So often i see people in the gym only worry about lifting the weight and when they go to lower the weight they’ll just drop it very quickly. If you’re looking to build more muscle then take your time on both the lifting and lowering portions. You’ll build more muscle but controlling the lowering phase so take your time!

Great advice by @jmaxfitness ・・・ DUMB EXERCISES VS SMART EXERCISES by @jmaxfitness - Just because an exercise looks cool or impressive on YouTube, it doesn't mean that you should be doing it too. - For example, if you want to look jacked, you need to put as much tension into the muscle as possible to BUILD THE MUSCLE. If you're standing on a bosu ball doing squats and/or curls, you're not able maximize the tension, and you're wasting your time. - You need to stick to the basics because they work. Is it boring? Maybe. Does it work? Yes. In all honest, you know what's more impressive than squatting on a bosu ball? Being able to squat 400lbs, bench press 300lbs, deadlift 500lbs, and row 200lbs. Lower body functional workouts always got you covered when its time to just engage everything in that whole lower body region 🙏 ⠀ ⠀⠀ Four movements that will get the entire legs and glutes firing and working together ☺️ ⠀ ⠀⠀ Don’t forget to save so I can come with you to the gym ❤️ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⭐️ Kettlebell squat swings (3 x 12): such an amazing burner and so worth the practice to get the rhythm 😍 Push the kettlebells upwards with the shoulders as you squat down, and keep force going down through the heels. Start real slow and with just a little baby weight until it feels good 💪 ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⭐️ Front elevated lunges (3 x 8 per leg): I like to stay right on my toes with the back foot and then the front leg is responsible for stabilising too, which adds an extra level 👏 Also, taking these real slow works a treat 😊 ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⭐️ Single arm lateral kettlebell swings (3 x 8 per side): just small sideways steps and a little kettlebell work perfectly here ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⭐️ Duck walks (3 x 16 total steps): two versions of these which are in the same clip ☺️ Stay real low and don’t step up too high, with the knees in line with the hips (not pointing outwards) - skip this one if you’re not 100% comfortable in the knees 💛 .
