A pain free session! 445lb Box squats for some triples. Trying thumb around the bar grip to keep pressure off my elbows. Seems to be better I think. . ❌ WARM UP YOUR BUNS ❌By @kimfrench87 . There may be differences of opinion on this BUT for me personally activating my glutes with a booty band before a leg day has made an impact to my results. Warming up the muscles and engaging them correctly before applying weighted exercises will a) enhance your mind to muscle connection and b) prevent a possible injury. . The exercises here are my ‘go to’ for activation. I tend to do 4 exercises with no rest in between and for 2 sets. And the BURN IS REAL 🔥 . If you workout from home, you could do all of these exercises with no rest for 4 sets and you’ll be surprised how effective it is. TGIF! 💟 I slept in until 4:15 this morning! 😂 I started work later today so I took my time this morning and started working at 5:15am. 😆😆 Enough with the giggles, today I did mostly a full body workout. I don't do isolated shoulder exercises as much I should: 3 sets of 12 reps, forward shoulder lifts and side lifts (killer).. used a 5lb weight. Tough! 😤 Second video: 3 sets of squats, 10 reps. 3 sets of pulses, 20 reps. Phew! 😅 I also worked on arms/core/back/hips.. next time I'll record my cardio routine which included 3 rounds of boxing, 5 mins each round. Really happy with snatches today. I saw a post by @larrior describing @tiantao96kg 's lifting method and noticed how much he opens up his chest during set up to activate his lats/back. What was interesting was that when I did that I also felt my quads load even more and pushing the ground away with even pressure happened naturally sunce I felt more centered. As a result, today was the first day since February before I got a bad case of quad tendinitis that I felt I was moving good enough to go up too 155lbs which used to be my training weight. I don't go heavy on my lifts any more due to recovery restraints, but it felt good getting back under 155lbs with no issue. My PR is 175lbs....which I feel is still there, and maybe now on a really good day could finally get 185lbs.
