What a great way to start off the weekend. A little rock climbing 🧗🏽♀️ with the girls and now off to explore since our forearms and fingers are on fire 🔥
This is what perfect looks like in my world.
You can never be “too young” or “too old” to learn CPR.
Hands only CPR saves lives! You don’t have to perform mouth to mouth if you don’t have access to a barrier device, but that should NOT stop you from giving compressions. There is air in the lungs already, and by providing compressions - you help circulate the oxygen-rich blood in the body to the vital organs that need it.
Hands Only CPR includes 2 steps:
1- Call 9-1-1
2- push Hard & Fast
Keep your fingers interlaced and landmarked in the middle of the chest on the hardest part of the breastbone ( just above the notch where the ribs meet AKA the Xiphoid process ) straighten your arms and keep your shoulders in line with your contact point of your hands
* if you are wondering how fast to do those compressions - do them to the beat of “Staying Alive”

I’ve been trying to teach my kids about loving animals and all creatures. That is probably how I have a son that’s obsessed with sharks, even though his momma has a severe phobia of them. It started with teaching them that bugs aren’t scary, and has expanded to the most majestic of animals. I truly feel that by letting children experience the life of these creatures in person, allows them to create a physical bond and love in the reality, that story books and pictures can’t give them. I am so proud of my kiddos for overcoming their fears and nerves, and truly experiencing every moment.
Cindy and Janice are beautiful creatures! And they did a fabulous job at helping my kids learn the value and love of all.
Shout out to my mama who instilled this in me and also helped us have a very memorable day! •

We’ve had Milla in swim classes since she was 6 months old and I’m so grateful that we’ve been able to do that. She loves to swim and she is so comfortable in the water. We live around a lot of water between the lake our apartment complex sits next to and the 2 pools. They teach them how to float on their back, swim to the closest wall, and swimming smarter, not harder. I think knowing how to swim is a skill everyone should have, and starting young gives them a healthy respect for the water and not a fear. #emlerswimschool #littlefishy #startthemyoung #iswimemler
Cooking with my little gal always feels so good. I love teaching her about how to prepare and respect ingredients and anything I happen to know about the culinary arts.
