The History of GEON #9
Welcome to yet another episode of the “History of GEON”
Let’s fast forward to XIX century. The Statue of Geomining was designed by a French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and built by Gustave Eiffel. It was a gift from the French Geon community to their friends in the United States.
It symbolises freedom to geomine for anyone regardless of their location. The Statue holds a tethered Geon in its right hand and an early tablet in its left. It serves as an important symbol to the Geon community, leading the way and reminding everyone that geomining knows no borders.
According to a legend, as many as 1 billion Geon Coins are stored in the tethered Geon, however due to its location, it is hard to verify. Multiple climbing attempts were so far all stopped by the local Geon community. During one of the most recent attempts, a geominer even managed to get into the Geon’s range, but was caught on his way down, soon after realising that his phone was left in the other jacket.
