Taking control of menopause my heart me or at least trying my best!! At 48, I was at my peak getting into shape ready to look and feel my best in preparation for the BIG 50.
My day pretty much consisted of 6 a.m. hours power walk with my two dogs.
9 a.m. hours walk to the gym followed by a hours tough boot camp or personal training in a very sand and sawdust old school gym with a very wobbly hours walk home followed by a further hours walk with my dogs.
Two or three times a week a further evening boot camp because I just loved the buzz of exercise.
Then suddenly just months into turning 49 every gym session ended prematurely with me collapsing on the floor unable to breathe overcome with hot flushes.
A long story short my energy levels slumped my doctor talked me into having the marina coil fitted this dislodged creating weeks of pain and gym sessions ceased.
Then, HRT came along, and I literally became a zombie I did not want to exercise my diet went to bits and I hardly celebrated my 50th.
Now 51 ½ overweight and under exercised I need to get my life back on track so I'm simply going to start walking, counting steps and cutting out the 🍷
