This past weekend has been a dream... I’ve always wanted to visit Nola and now that I have, I love it. 💜💜💜 The different cultures, ethnicities, and the vibes are just so beautiful and amazing. The history of the place (especially the voodoo/ witchcraft part🔮) is so fascinating to me. If any of y’all get a chance to go there, DO IT! You will not regret it! Oh, and by the way, for any of my vampire loving friends, there is a history of vampires in Nola.

Sunday morn outing led to an unplanned visit to say hello to an old friend ❣️ #stlouis3
Day 3, New Orleans. Despite having one major meltdown, the likes of which hasn’t been seen in years, we still made all planned activities and sights. Bourbon Street is a lot different at 4pm than it is at 10am. Glad I didn’t stick around to find out beyond that. Saw the voodoo queen Marie Laveau’s tomb and the eventual resting spot of Nicolas Cage (the pyramid shaped thing) in St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, while simultaneously experiencing what may have been the most extreme heat I’ve ever felt. After a voodoo museum and Jackson Square, we headed to Baton Rouge where we checked out LSU’s campus and the arena Shaq balled it up in.
Today we have a date with the Astros in Houston and 1.5 million bats flying out from under a bridge in Austin.

Captain's Log, New Orleans
7/12/2018, 21:59 local time
I began my voyage in the dead of night, boarding a crowded aircraft bound for New Orleans, Louisiana. I have fond memories of this vibrant and wonderful 300 year old city. Upon landing, however, the air -thick with humidity- slowly and methodically attacked my every pore in an attempt to wear me down with the very weight of the atmosphere.
I pushed through this and walked the city, exploring streets at random, with purpose I sought to lose myself. From local delicacies to the final resting place of the oldest of residents, I explored what I could until any ache in my heart was replaced by the dull ache of my heels. I now eagerly await the arrival of my comrades, while I rest my weary feet. Despite all I have seen and experienced today, I know the adventure has only just begun.

Impulsive solo trip to the cemetery. Thanks kind stranger for not being weird about me flagging you down to take my photo.
NOLA day 3
Visited St Louis Cemetery No.3 and drove to Grand Isle to swim in the Gulf of Mexico. Tomorrows the last day to eat gator po'boys and gumbo 😢😢 #stlouiscemetery #grandisle #gulfofmexico
I’m looking forward to editing my vacation photos later tonight, including the hundreds I shot in St Louis Cemetery No. 2 | New Orleans, the final resting place for quiet, dignified beauty.
Day 186/365. The rule of third is EVERYWHERE
Spent the morning drinking hurricanes and walking between tombs. This one is Nick Cage’s future resting place. Thanks French Quarter Phantoms for the great tour! #stlouiscemetery #nola
