While there are so many great places to go in Chicago (see other posts), sometimes you just need a night in with your friends. And when one of your said friends isn’t drinking, you find other ways to satisfy your taste buds. In come homemade açaí bowls from @traderjoes
! This was my first time making these, and it was super easy: just grab the frozen açaí packets in the freezer section of Trader Joe’s, add a few other ingredients and voila! Within a few minutes, you have a healthy meal that also tastes delicious. Throw on This is Us, and enjoy a night in with your friends. Then, repeat in February... and add a glass of 🍷.
- 1 TJ's Organic Unsweetened Açaí Purée packet
- 1/2 cup TJ's Frozen Organic Mixed Berry Blend
- 1-2 tablespoons TJ's Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- 1 TJ's Banana, sliced and divided
- 1/3 cup TJ's Toasted Coconut Granola
- 2 TJ's Fancy Medjool Dates, chopped (we didn’t include these)
Add Açaí packet, berry blend, almond milk, and half of the banana to blender. Blend until smooth (adjust almond milk if needed). Scrape smoothie mixture into bowl. Top with remaining banana slices, granola and dates. Grab a spoon and enjoy!
